Its a movie, russian one. Based on facts. A few boys joined the red army, after 3-months-training they were sent to Afganistan. Typical war story, a bit sad and terrible. But my point is it was first russian film I saw since many, many years and I am not dissapointed.I remember when I was kid there was only russian movies on our tv and cinemas actually. Nothing special, we were erm...under occupation - cultural and economic mainly.

I thought you were speaking about these French movies also called 9th company and which are... crap.
Let's go back to the film you are talking about. Are they not a tank crew ? Lost in Afghanistan... One of the Russians becoming more or less a friend of the Afghanies while the others still remain "kill them all" ?
hello Jiphy:) It is not, youre talking about some different movie I dont know. btw. speaking about tank crew I have Buffalo Soldiers on my mind (quite freaky movie, hehe).
