Quebec as a nation in Canada.
I think I can speak for most people when I say "So what does it mean? What do you get out of it?"
Alberta will be next when we strive to become a independent state of India.

Well, isn't it the purpose of Canada? 2 nations formed a country together?
It's not like nobody were aware of it, Quebec is different, doesn't use the same civil laws and language, it has always been that way.
Funny thing though, it's this term that made the Meech Lake Constitutional Act to fail..
But in everyday's life, it doesn't change a thing since it's a know fact for a while, we have our own national holiday, and a lot of "our own" stuff as well... but the problem is, it's really the french-canadians that are a "nation", not Quebec.. meaning all those in Ontario, New Brunswick and other provinces.. and that still fight for their culture. (I was sad to see Robert Roy from Vancouver and his sister from Winnipeg talk to each other in english when they were in England... but that's life for french-canadians outside Quebec it seems)
And to be true, Alberta would do well alone by itself, though all provinces invested in the oil and they are pumping our water ;)
Anyways, I'm a complex guy, I would love to see Quebec become a country and decide for its own, but I do call myself Canadian outside of it, for me, best way would be to have Quebec as an independant state inside Canada.. ;)
Heard MSNBC classified Quebec in the state of civil war.....you know I never trusted them half-Frenchies!:)
Never mind Quebec, it seems that Scottish independence is supported by a higher percentage of the English than of the Scots themselves. The Scots, cannily, seem to prefer to remain part of the union while reserving the right to blame anything they don't like on their wicked English oppressors.
How many non-Quebecois Canadians want Quebec to be independent?
Actually Alberta uses its own water. But I will join Quebec in a war to protect Canada's water from the USA. I predict by 2020 The USA will have killed our water supply as well.
Alberta is pretty self sustaining, but if Canada does ever separate, BC, Alberta & Sask would do best to stay together and Quebec to be alone and the east to stay as Canada. I know there was talk before if Canada did part ways Alberta would most likely join the USA.
The most important question. If Quebec did separate what would you call the Montreal Canadians? The Montreal Bloc's or Habs 
Will Quebec get a new national Anthem? will it be written by celine dion? will we see the day when they sing 3 national Anthems before a hockey game? (the habs playing the leaf's at a neutral american site?)

Very true.

Believe it or not, that was asked in 1995 ;) They said it would remain that way.
