Fucking great news. We're on the up right now,Liverpool have shown their hand this season and will be lucky to scrap into the UEFA cup next year.

It is a great signing and very little risk.

I think Ferguson has learnt from 2001/02, when he had the option of signing Di Canio in the winter window but went for Forlan instead (United lost the league that season). Taking a chance on experienced, proven players can be really beneficial in the short term.
