I just noticed that they have made another Rocky film, where an old man in his fifties takes on a young pretender for the World Boxing title etc etc blah..
Is this stretching credibility? or a film for geriatric wannabes?

In order to pump up interest, the film has been recut to have Rocky facing Britney Spears in the ring ![]()
Rocky! Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!

Just like in the movie.
you've seen it?.. ![]()
Does he chase and choke the chicken?
Never been a mad fan of the Rocky films, but he's in fucking good shape in one picture I've seen of him, in the ring in the new film. ![]()
Seeing as Ivan Drago finally lost his battle with steroid-induced catatonia, Rocky might as well see if he can win one for the oldsters :p
Will the spirit of Apollo Creed come along to train him? ![]()
not only that. there's more

when in doubt stick with the old concepts. no doubt we'll see arnie in a few years time in TIV as well.
hum are there really no new ideas out there?
Balls, this thread's stll here.
I'd managed to convince myself it was nothing but the product of necking my daily dosage of paikillers in a period of 5 hours.
ARSE BISCUITS!
What a load of twaddle.
Americans, never mind overthrowing Bsh....exterminate the populaion of Hollywood (and other contaminated areas in and around LA)
Lately, I find it hard to remember what plots are real and which I heard from "awesom-o 4000" in south park.
PS {insert rabid hate tirade on Cruise/Wells/violence to the body of the former for his crimes against the latter/moron red neck hicks (sorry Jem)/screaming infants.}

this place? man i was skinny then.
or is it this one?
i haven't seen rocky in years.
Rocky IV was great. Rockly single handedly beating the evil Commies and bringing us world peace!
In all seriousness, I think Rocky, especially 1 and 2, were fantastic. So I will have to go and see this, even though i'm pretty sure it will be a complete joke. When is it out over here?

In 1994, Foreman once again went for the world championship, after Michael Moorer had beaten Holyfield for the IBF and WBA titles. Foreman was trailing on all scorecards when he suddenly knocked out Moorer in the 10th round on November 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. With this, Foreman broke two records: He became, at the age of 45, the oldest fighter ever to win the world Heavyweight crown, and, 20 years after losing his world title for the first time, he broke the record for the fighter with the most time in between one world championship run and the next. He announced in February 2004 he was training for one comeback fight, but his plans were stopped by his wife.
Foreman would have been 55 years old if he fought in 04. And he could have, and probably won.
So I guess my point is the new Rocky movie is totally unrealistic ![]()
Lennox Lewis was champ in 2004 and big George knew at 55 years old he would'nt have a hope against him.George said so himself, and was waiting for Lewis to retire he said at the time..It was a big hoax on Foreman's part...But immense credit for his first triumphant comeback in 94 is due to Foreman, when the whole world thought it was a joke.
I had a Sirloin steak only last night cooked on one of his grills.Necter!
Those grills are so super-fantastic that I own not one, but TWO of them...
and about the movie...I won't be arsed to get myself down to the cinema...
The New Balboa Grill! It'll toughen up your meat the old fashioned way...by having a sweaty monotone Italian beat the shit out of it! ![]()

Doesn't beating meat tenderize it, not toughen it up? Although I suppose it depends what sort of "meat" you're beating. ![]()
Burt Reynolds wrote: yeah tabs.. you had a sweaty monotone Italian beating yer meat lately then?
You'd think I'd get it right, being an expert on meat-beating and all...excuse me, meat-bleating ![]()
Someday when I'm running for president, this will all come back to haunt me ![]()
I saw the poster the last time I went to the movies. Just how many Rocky movies do we really need? I'm glad I didn't have to bear watching the trailer for it when I went to the cinema. I did see the trailer on YouTube last night though. Sure everyone loves an underdog story, but I'm skeptical about this one. ![]()
Really seems like the same story line as the last one.....but instead of him training a new younger punk, he's training a son or something?![]()
