Still, least the roads and tubes were noticeably quieter this morning..

Am i fuck. off half of this week, then off to Ireland next week for family and other reasons...
I'm off Xmas night, Dr who special, is the only reason I'm taking it off. Mind you....I'm in Xmas eve, which is triple time from midnight til 7. Same again on NYE, when I am in. All goes in the laptop ( or, as I now call it, "portapenguin") fund for Jan.
God help anyone who's lost their passport over xmas, our main job is to try not to laugh :(

Actually I would be (and would rather--last year I got so much work done that week) but I have 3 days I need to take by the end of the year. Since we have 25th and 26th off... 27-29 fits nicely :)
I finish Friday lunchtime and go back on the 2nd. I've no holidays left either, until 1st April

I would've been back to work 27-29th but cunningly used my remaining holidays to plug that particular gap (had to use them up for this year anyway).

I'm grading a lot of cuntin' papers. But I do get a laugh out of putting "F for Fake" at the top of every plagarized "Citizen Kane" paper I find. Stupid undergrads. And apparently one of the Japanese students spells Orson Welles' name "Olson."
Off from noon Friday through Tuesday, and then back to work on Wednesday and Friday. Off on Jan. 1.
Hoping for more snow.
Finish tomorrow lunchtime, back for a training day on the 3rd... Although I haven't actually done anything that could be called work for about a week now...

I'm working only next thursday and friday. All the other days are off in the company I work with, I'm just starting back on the 3rd.
Since I switched recently, I don't really have any vacation time yet, plus.. it's probably the worst time of the year to take any vacation, you use it for things you don't even want to like shopping and visiting the in-laws
Even though we get all sorts of time off for the holidays, taking leave to ensure I don't get the last minute 24-hour duty post.
Post Office are shut XMAS DAY,BOXING DAY and NEW YEARS DAY.Whit-woo! Also I'm DJ-ing on Xmas Eve night,as a thankyou for letting me have Friday off for Mozzer!!!

Had to work last xmas,and it's highly likely my shift rota will dictate I'm working the next 4 in a row,which fucks me off,no end..(assuming the Steel Industry remains in the country,and/or I with it)

Since Christmas means little to me (historically) I don't mind working during this perdiod and on the day itself, which I am actually doing.

But Jeff, don't forget the downside - after the Christmas/New Year holiday you have to work for seven weeks before you get another holiday and that means until 3:00pm every day Mon to Thurs
self employed, so no option coz i wont get paid for it, unless i get a PAYE job, gosh i do look forward towards that, all is forgiven TOYS R US

Hello Al, yep me too mate Xmas Eve, Boxing Day & New Years Day so know how you and the others working the Xmas period feel. Liked you're 'No bloody holidays left (can't think why!)' quote and will hopefully be spending next Xmas/NYE in Aus if I can save the £'s and NO don't tour/release anything new. Cheers!
