WORK SUCKS!!! — Forum Archive

I have just found out that due to circumstances beyond my control, that instead of us having two manager closing the store tonight, I shall be left to do it all on my own.

Obviously, there is a reason that the big boss man decided that there should be two of us there tonight. So my question is...do I suck it up, and just do it alone? Do I invest in loads of gasoline and just burn the fucking place down? Or do I just lock the doors 5 minutes after the last of my cohorts leave, and head for the closest bar???

If it wasn't official before, it is now...I HATE MY FUCKING JOB!!! I hope one of the mothrefuckers asks me for a favor....

Just do yer job and go to the bar afterwards.

I'd find a job that I'd like to get up and go to everyday. Take whatever knowledge you have of retail and turn it into something that'll benefit you...first time I've been positive in over 3 years. And it was for someone else.

I hated my drug store job for a while...people were nuisances in every way, especially the irate ones. I aint' gonna lie I called the manager a lot to sort out situations where the damned customer wouldn't accept my answer/solution and the manager tells them the same damn thing i said.... :skeptic:

I just got off nine hours or so of work in the dairy section, during which time I

-filled up milk twenty times -filled up eggs thirty times -filled up specials three times (okay, not so tough) -helped work a pretty big shipment of diary stuff that came in today -broke down the milk pallets in the cooler to make way for even more milk that's coming in tomorrow -did a lot of this by myself -possibly threw out my back (unluckily not)

and I only took a break for lunch eight hours into my shift :shrug:

Me tired :faint:

And I get to do all of this again tomorrow (thankfully we're closed Xmas Day and I have Boxing Day off)

I suppose it beats hanging chickens as my brother does. They shit all over him but sometimes he gets his own back we he has to work on back-up kill and slash the throats of the ones who don't die in the zapper. :eek:

Well..it wasn't THAT bad...rained all night, so the fucking bastards didn't come in the droves that I was fearing...we ended up leaving about 1 this morning...so I did stop off at the bar on the way home for exactly two beers...

now...will today be as bad??? people buying ANYTHING??? Like a dick in a box???

It'll be interesting...to say the least...

Unwound last night by popping in HATYM and watching some live JD (in case you were wondering if I still listen to NO/JD :evil4: )

Today wasn't so bad (it was bad, but not horrendous). When we ran out of eggnog and people kept asking me about it...fucking hilarious :D

hang in there and suck it up! It might get you promoted somewhere down the line. Even if your job is shitty, you can put that promotion on your resume and use that to your advantage. Then head to the nearest bar.
