"This is MY Xmas present, it's OK, you can watch it too, but ssssssssssh, it's Dr Who" :D
**SPOILER FOR WHOVIANS WHO DIDN@T WATCH THE SEASON TRAILER***
The coolest thing I ever seen on TV , right at the end of the trailer. Just standing their, not speaking, or even moving, with the distinctive sound of their technology honking away in the background.....was a Supreme Dalek, presumably the squad leader of the Cult of Skaro who legged it at the end of Doomsday. LOL they don't even have to speak to be threatening :D:D:D:D:D
My new steering wheel is LETHAL compared to the old logitech one, 5 laps of Monza with my old FF settings and I felt like I' been lifting weights ;)
Me wee sis got me Stephen Fry's "the book of general ignorance" which is just a list of bullshit commonly believed by the general population......it almost read like I wrote it meself, except he is smarter than me of course. Reading through it I feel alternately smug ( when I already knew what I'm reading) and like a spastic (when I didn't).
Oh, and My HD is SATA-II/300, and moy motherboard is not only a SATA-I/150 one, it cannot even initialise a SATA-II drive long enough to switch it down to SATA-I transfer speeds;....and this drive has no hardware setting for same...I therefore have to get one of my cow-orkers to plug the drive into their machine, issue the "slow the fuck down" command, and then give it back to me. Bloody Computers! I knew I should have just treated the Linux machine to a huge IDE drive instead of trying to shove another SATA into the winbox.
my father-in-law coming over for christmas dinner and talking for 3 hours on end, leaving us tired and hang-overed and longing for some PEACE on earth at last....

:jealous:
My last chilli plant came back in from the garden to it's indoor spot, under a light, and brought a plague of greefly with it.....none of my other chillis have ever had it, but this variety, I dunno, they actually killed it stone dead, left it covered in a sticky secretion and moved on to the other residents of the light box...whereupon, plants, aphids, pots and all were destroyed and soaked in non-chemical pesticide.
Can't seem to find young plants here, and have never had much luck germinating seeds ( either bought ones, or the possibly sterile ones from shpo bought chilies).
Shame the odds of a cutting surviving a semicircumnavigation are about 25000:1 :(
I got a copy of Touching From A Distance, some earrings, some giftcards to my fave shops and lovely, lovely BOOZE!
