Belle and Sebastian on Conan O'Brien last night (o/t)

Anyone else see my favorite bunch of Scots on the Conan O'Brien show last night? I meant to plug the hell out of it prior to their appearance, but all this week I've been preoccupied with studeis so I forgot. Anyway, they performed their latest single, I'm Waking Up To Us, which was pretty good. Apparently they also just finished the soundtrack to Todd Solandz's next film, so I'm looking forward to that.

Sorry I missed it. Actually, didn't even check the listings to see if anybody good was on any show. Ah well. BTW Tabsy, the Q with your question for the PSB showed up here this week......finally Good job on that.

Loved the caption of in the Kurt Cobain photo a couple of pages later. "Dear diary, Courtney made me iron my own socks again...." Couldn't stop laughing at that one.

I caught them on Conan as well. Luckily for me I live in the great state of California and got to check them out at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival two days after they were on Conan and they were great. Unfortunately Isobel wasn't able to attend due to traveling conflicts of some sort and their set was only limited to about 55 minutes or so. But they played perfect renditions of "Dog on Wheels," "The Model," "String Bean Jean," "The Boy With the Arab Strap," and they even played a couple songs off of Storytelling which made me excited for next month when it finally comes out. But the band looked like they were having a great time on 'our first time ever playing outdoors' on such a lovely day in Palm Springs and it made the whole day worth it - especially due to such piss poor performances from the Strokes and the Prodigy. I also left before Oasis (the headliners - how this happened in the States I have no idea) even took the stage like thousands of other people. If anyone is interested in more details, speak up and I'd be more than happy to divulge more about the show.
