Al,

Saw your avatar(s) and it reminded me of one of the first ever albums I had on cassete.

Brings back memories, Cant actually remember any of the songs except Rocket now, I know I played it to death.

Do you have it ??

Almost certainly, I've still got a pile of old records at me folks, even though I've not lived there for 20+ years.

Really need to move them at some point. :uhoh:

This thread led me to find out about those 'Electro' albums which I have never heard of. According to the line-ups it should sound good. I already found them on eBay - going to bid.

Stay away from the album "Electro-fied" thats out now,its got fuck all to do with early electro/hip hop and has the likes of Fatboy Slim on it. Avoid!!!

I had a few of those Streetwise "Electro" albums on vinyl years back, bought them second hand from the local library. Amazing where you find some stuff!

Cool !

Most of my albums from back in the day were on cassete. A lot of them met a nasty death when left in the sun on the partial shelf of my Vauxhall chevette on a hot sunny day at Bounemouth Beech.

Those Streetsounds Electro albums were awesome back in the mid '80's and I had a fair few of them on Cassette as well. Mantronix too were pretty cool and if I was marooned on a desert island with my Top 100 tunes I'd certainly have Kurtis's gems Bassline and King Of The Beats with me. BTW does anyone know whether the original releases got done on CD at all? Cheers!:thumb:

Were the discs, covers etc. in good nick as if they are you may make a small pile on ebay if you decide to sell them. Cheers!:thumb:
