How many of you have got involved with any of the numerous online "sidelines" out there? I'm not talking about the scams but the ones that actually work. And if you have done how succesful have you been?

The reason I ask is that i've got a mate who clears a right few quid from various affiliate schemes, building a blog based site and pulling in some coin from everyone who signs up to the various services/products he peddles via his portal. His most succesful one is for horse riding equipment?!!

I did casino scalping for a while in the summer which is basically free money. Sign up to a casino, grab their introductory bonus (can be as high as £200) then play out the required amount of hands on Blackjack sticking strictly to Basic Strategy before cashing out with a healthy profit. You're at an enormous advantage over the house (roughly 47%) if you do this but it's time consuming and I very quickly ran out of casino's to scalp. I cleraed a couple of grand though and was averaging about £25 an hour which is all right for a bit of fun.

I dabbled in Sports Arbitrage about a year ago but it requires serious dedication and a lot of time before you'll see big profits. Even then, the best you could hope to clear in a year doing it full time would be about 40K due to the inevitable limits that are put on you by the bookies when you start winning too much. I cleared a few quid but nothing to justify the time it took me to open 30 different bookie accounts!

This affiliate program thing interests me though, especially as knocking out websites is something we do on a weekly basis. Anyone got any experiences? My mate's too much of tight arse to tell all his secrets!

I know a bloke who knocked out Poker Chip Sets a couple of years back.

Imported them for 9 notes each from China, then knocked 'em out at 59 quid a pop on ebay.

Where is he now, I wonder? :uhoh:

59 quid?!! Was I pissed when I told you that? Between £25 and £40 was the range. Shifted the last of them this Xmas on auction and they weren't even getting half of that. The blue Celtic ones were ace although I wasn't too chuffed at the time. Fortuntaely it was only a sample set. There's gotta be some value in them as curiosities...Anyone?.....Tenner and they're yours. I'm robbin' meself etc etc.
