I was also applauding Dr's succinct description of the media treatment of the dead Princess.

Private Eye did a lovely piece when she died, juxtaposing articles written just before she died with some written immediatley after her death, written by the same 'journalists'.

Needless to say, on the eve of her death she was a witch who should have been burned. The following day, she was a saint and anyone who dared say otherwise was evil.
