Everyone's favourite holiday camp is five years old this week.

Lets all raise a glass to sensory deprivation.

Thank you G'mo, for showing the world the precise definition of American freedom and Democracy.....yes, just invent a phrase, call people it, and you can treat them like animals.

Funny enough the same people who lock innocent men and women up for 5 years with no charge or trial because they are "unlawful combatants" lobbied to have the Brits drop a similar shceme ( limited to a few months stay though) in NI.

What a pack of cunts.

You say that as if the American people had anything to do with it.

Confusing the Gettysburg Address with the Constitution? I doubt Lincoln would enjoy comparisons to Bush.

You must support Sinn Fein and the IRA just because you live in N.I., right?

Well since NI does provide options, technically I'd be a rabid catholic hating knuckle dragger who's idea of a good day out is stoning school children, but your point is valid no less.

As for Bush being compared to Lincoln, perhaps we should arrange a trip to the theatre for him ( well, OK a Disney panto or something).

I know G'mo is not the doing of you all, but it's a vile thing, maybe if we all yap about it enough we'll shame the ordinary folks into getting rid of it, doesn;t this asshole shrub work for you like?

I'm pretty sure he works for the oil companies, Halliburton, and himself. Biggest bunch of thieves in American history. Far worse than Nixon ever was. I see nothing in Bush's actions except rabid religious demagoguery and good old fashioned economic rape. I bet Habermas would have something to say.

Like I said before, you get a better class of Seppo round here :D

Oh, and a small point o order, we in NI are not permitted to vote for a government, mainland parties will not organise here, therefor all we can vote for are several species of nazi fucktard, who can only every exercise any real governing power, when the proper governemt is in deep shit and needs to buy votes....this always turns out badly too. Every time we are let loose to govern ourselves, everyone yells sectarian madness at each other in the parliament, and the refuse to discuss stupid things, like roads, schools, hospitals, pish like that, until they can get to the bottom of who started "it" and who the biggest shower of cunts are.

I think g'bay had its purpose for the first few years....but I think that need is coming to a close.

This is Armando Ianucci's vision of Guantanamo in thirty years time:

I think Guantanamo Bay is a little older than that...I mean, the means with which erosion or the flow of the ocean contributed to the formation of the bay must have taken more than a few thousand years...

Oh, you meant the concentration camp there...my bad :nervous:

While I question the way in which prisoners are determined to be "dangerous enough" to warrent imprisonment in Gitmo, I think it's not necessarily a bad thing to have that option...when we actually catch some bad guys, of course. Like Bin Laden (remember him? Bush sure doesn't :nonono: )

Why don't I get any sound with these youtube links?

Could be you have a primitive sound card with only one channel and if that one is tied up when you launch your browser, the browser will remain silent perpetually ( I know this cos i DO have a shit soundcard in my linux machine and cos I'm driving it off "pro" drivers, it's a sulky bastard) Could just be your browser, try another....if you use firefox, try IE or Opera, if you use IE, etc etc etc.

Opera wont play them in Linux for me....which is downright odd, because firefox does, and they both use the same flash and java plugins.

EDIT: LOL, Just fixed my Opera....it seems if it finds the flashplayer plugin in a directory featuring the name Netscape....it freaks out, so i pointed it at the other copy of the flashplayer in /usr/lib and off it went.

Possible I suppose, but this sound card was considered, at least I thought, pretty good when it was and that was only 2 years ago (RealTec AC'97)(please don't tell me that stands for 1997). Have the new exploer on my XP, so I imagine that would be the best to run the internet.

97 is for 97 it was the year the standard multimedia audio codec was agreed ;)

Ermmmm as for browsers, try another one. "Ie must be best" is a debatable assertion at best. PErsonally I like to have a whole team of browsers hanging around, there's always ONE site thhat piss each of them off.

Opera and firefox are both free, and you don;t have to make them your default or anything.
