UK is short for... United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Each country within the UK has it's own flag of course.

Had anyone ever genuinely used 'the UK' before t'internet linked the world? I hadn't. I'm English, British at a push. Leave all the Unionist shite to the Royalists and Uber-Prods. Also, puts us right near the bottom on most 'dropdowns'.
Right or wrong, that's the legal definition of the term, and what it says on all government documents.
