There is a theory among neuroscientists that the, whatyamacallit which connects the left and right brain, functions differently in Japanese persons, which is what leads their language to be so amazingly florid and metaphorical....even the most technical terms are often given names that sound like poetry. Sadly all the real examples of this that were offered up in what I was reading, have eluded me just now....but they were very impressive.

Doc, I don't know what the heck you're talking about. It is true that people who are bilingual are smarter and that their brains processes numbers, symbols, and/or language differently. What I meant was that it is common for the Japanese to make anything look cute. Pokemon, wacky game shows, TV commercials, and that video are perfect examples. I know that Americans are more practical than the Japanese. I'm way Americanized to go ahead and translate the video (thank God for EdelBrock), although I don't mind watching sophisticated anime like Akira or Cowboy Bebop.

The anime character (if you want to call it that) is a character that is featured on children's learning books and magazines by the company Benesse in Japan. The footage, I think, was taken from a video by that company that teaches toliet training.
