China Crisis are the only credible choice! Saw them a few times, the last time being at Ronnie Scotts in Brum (Which has since gone); they were great. Though it was a bit funny watching people eat their 'crispy french fried potatoes with an intriguing selection of dips' (CHIPS with Mayo to you and I!), whilst they were playing just a few feet away. ![]()
I only remember Japan, China Crisis and Visage.
Liked Fade to Grey - Visage and that one Japan did, think it was called ghosts or something
Didn't mind a couple of China Crisis songs .Come Back by The Mighty Wah! always reminds me of white hot summer days when i had just left school in 1984.Carefree days and nights when i was 16

Err, what's not so credible about Magazine? ![]()
who are the twins? the thompson twins? in which case do you mean the early version of them when they were a 16 piece punk collective?
no their was a early synth band called The Twins, but their not that great but where pretty early for a new wave band
I only got China Crisis' greatest hits about 2 years ago in a bargain bin somewhere and they had some really good songs - When The Piper Calls is probably my favourite. Funnily enough they're currently on their 25 year anniversary tour.

Yep, Mick does amazing stuff.
I'm still a HUGE fan of David Sylvian too. My Japan/Sylvian/Karn vinyl collection runs a close second to NO. Caught Mr. Sylvian's show (and an autograph) here in Toronto in '02. He can get a bit too arty, but there's something about that voice...![]()
Used to like VISAGE,JAPAN and CHINA CRISIS.JAPAN are well overdue for a comeback gig.Never been to see them live, but I've seen OIL ON CANVAS live video years ago,and they're excellent.Especially CANTON.
Was always hoping ULTRAVOX would get back together.Midge still treads the boards, and I think Billy Currie still records albums.
China Crisis were shithot. They came from Kirkby and went to a school called St Kevins where my Auntie Nell used to teach maths.
They quoted it in one of their songs (possibly King in a Catholic style). "St Kevin taught us how John the boxer is braver now."
Cheers
