I hate it when nobody remembers stuff that you do.
Can anybody else in the UK confirm that Pacers and HankyPanky existed?
Pacers where minty stripey chewy toffees. Hanky Panky were a cross between crisps and popcorn.
Nobody remembers these and I'm beginning to think I must have imagined their existence.

'Old Skool' is like a subset of 'nostalgia' but it only encompasses things which were considered 'cool' back in the day, and ain't a catch all for anything and everything.
Wearing Trimm Trabs and Fila BJ is Old Skool.
Listening to mid 80's Electro and Afrika Bambataa is Old Skool.
Watching One Summer or Prospects is Old Skool.
Watching the Sullivans just ain't. Unless you had some very weird mates in the early 80's?

Speaking of 'Old Skool' TV does anyone remember the BBC 2 Open Space documentary Bad Meaning Good which was shown in '87. It was about Hip-Hop/Electro in the UK and as I only saw a few minutes of it I never saw it in full. It centered on Tim Westwood - before he became a Ali-G wanabe t***, DJ's on the then pirate Kiss FM, a Run DMC concert and UK Hip Hop artists including DJ Fingers, Cookie Crew and London Posse. It also featured UK Grafitti artists - possibly London's well known Mode 2 and Artful Dodger and has never been repeated by the BBC in nearly 20 years. Perhaps it's worth being uploaded to bbc.co.uk or a repeat on BBC Four. Cheers!

I know what you are saying Jem..But there are looooads of them.So in this case it does'nt matter.. I also found out the hard way,when someone(Al I think) here gazzumped me on Hooky's Mrs Merton theme tune on CD.. I've not seen it since. Coincidently,it was Biggy who tipped me off it was on ebay that time.Couple of years ago now.

I've had to wean myself off Ebay, I got addicted and started buying stuff I didn't really want or need!
I'm gradually replacing all my vinyl with CD's bought off Ebay, usually for £1 each - bargain.

I did the same.. I'm more selective now,after buying allsorts of bollocks a few years back just for the sake of it.

I believe that pacer replaced "opal mints" or vice versa.
I defo remember them.
You can probably get them on one of those retro sweetie sites.....where my young lady managed to find herself some chelsea whoppers, which she devoured so fast it genuinely frightened me.
