The Fall's new record, Reformation...? What is the story here? I thought the band told Smith to fuck off... was this all recorded before that blow-up, or after? And they are including videos of the on stage blow-up as extras on the album?
What is the story now? Who makes up the band now? Certainly he is not mellowing with age...

This is the new line up - after the last lot got up and left he found this lot and recorded this album with them
The album is very good by they way He has moved on from fall heads roll/country on the click.. and you can hear it
Yees. After the band had enough of his being a prick mid-American tour 2006, he was faced with either the shame of having to cancel yet another US tour or get some new band members, so he recruited the first three guys he found at a motel* and carried on. First few gigs were interesting to say the least, now they've found their own new Fall sound. I shan't be bothering with this record, he's cooked his goose for me now, he's a lunatic!

Downloaded both the Reformation Post TLC and Fall Heads Roll last week - first two Fall albums I've bothered with in 10+ years.
Think the more recent of the two is stronger - the likes of Fall Sound and Reformation - but, at the end of the day, they both just sound like The Fall to me? 
I am meant to be going to see them at blackburn but having a slight doubt because ive just seen a recent set list and its basically the new album plus 4 off heads roll.

Sounds-uh like a cross between Mr Pharmacist (Bend Sinister, 1986) and Telephone Thing (Extricate, 1990)
Just found the album Al mentioned on eBay. Must be the right one because its got British People In Hot Weather on it aswell. Sorted!
although it does name check gretchen franklin didn;t he say he thought he'd made the name up? defo remember him saying it was nothing to do with her anyway
