Car crash waiting to happen that woman. Couldn't have scripted her life better if you'd tried. Pure soap opera.

Shame, she's left a baby behind, hasn't she? Became a Mum again then lost her grown-up son all in the space of a week, just last year?

RIP.

I just heard it. Apparently it was on the birthday of her baby daughter.

Died at a hard rock hotel in Florida. No news on the cause yet.

It always scares me when people my age shuffle off their their mortal coil, although with her life style it is no great surprise.

I'm just stunned, and amazed...mostly stunned that she lived as long as she did

I'm willing to bet that drugs in no way, shape, or form, had anything to do with her passing. None whatsoever :nono:

Just read about this. Any insults w'd be a bit empty. Bizarre. Said she was vacationing at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Fla. Says that she'd had 'Cold and Flu symptoms. Was found unresponsive and rushed to the hospital to be pronounced dead.

Written that ANSmith was ordered yesterday that she'd have to submit DNA for 5mos old Daughter. Her son died a few months back under similar 'Cold and Flu plus mixed 'scription Drugs effects.

FORMER Playboy Playmate and billionaire's widow Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in a hotel room and died today in Florida.

The buxom, platinum-blonde Texan former Guess spokeswoman and Playboy Playmate, 39, was found unconscious in a room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, north of Miami, WFOR television reported in the US.

Paramedics did CPR on the model, commercial spokeswoman and sometime actress who was taken to a local medical centre, the report said.

Her teenaged son Daniel recently died in the Bahamas, just days after Smith gave birth to a baby girl whose paternity has been disputed by a former boyfriend and Smith's attorney.

"I can confirm that she is deceased. It's as shocking to me as to you guys," Smith's attorney, Ronald Rale, told Reuters.

"I don't know anything further. (Her lawyer and husband) Howard (K. Stern) obviously is speechless and grieving.

TMZ.com reported emergency crews performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel.

The incident occurred just months after she gave birth to a baby and her grown son, Daniel, died while visiting her in hospital.

The former Playboy centrefold rose to national fame when she married oil tycoon J Howard Marshall in 1994 when she was 26 and he was 89. Marshall died in 1995 prompting a lengthy legal battle between his sons and Smith which was unresolved at the time of her death. Share this article (What is this?)

unfortunately this is how she will be remembered. her appearance at the Australia MTV awards was even more bizarre, but i can't find it.

She had such a lot of promise in late 80s. she could have been a real star.

Sad, but unsuprising.

Let the conspiracy theories start.

Well, she was married to a lawyer.

sad about her daughter but it is kind of hard to imagine her actually taking any care of the baby, as high maintance that Ana was herself in the first place ... the little girl would have probably been taking care of her mother by the time she was seven

so is her daughter going to be fighting with that old dead husbands grandkids for the $474million inheritance for the next twenty years? ... job security for lawyers

Someone said that she was today's Marilyn Monroe. No MM had talent. However, Candle in the Wind keeps going through my mind right now.

I hope she found peace, something her life lacked.
