Looks like a reasonable line up for the 2 day V- Festival when it comes to Australia in April next year.

Already confirmed are:

The Pixies Jarvis Cocker Phoenix Pet Shop Boys Groove Armada Gnarls Barkley The Rapture.

Looks like one to keep a watch on.

Is there any info on where it will take place?

My capital village will probably miss out as usual.

Oops im a year behind. i meant this year. LOL, still think its 2006 here.

The website hasnt been updated yet, Nooligan, but i beleive there is a V-Festival at Memorial Drive in Adelaide on the 3/4 of April.

SO i would assume Melbourne gets a date as well.

Melbourne; how about Sydney? It better not be over Easter.

Melbourne – Sidney Myer Music Bowl

i dont like how its set up though over two days so you have to buy two tickets

day 1- Pixies, Jarvis Cocker & Phoenix, with special guests day 2-Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Gnarls Barkley & The Rapture

i was really looking forward to see the rapture/pixies/psb but not now

The Pixies’ first-ever performance in Australia was played to 300 lucky music fans at a secret gig in Melbourne last night.

Some fans who made it inside the Northcote Social Club had waited almost 20 years to see the band who paved the way for alternative rock groups such as Nirvana.

"It was amazing – they were so incredibly tight and the songs are just phenomenal,” said music critic Simone Ubaldi, who lined up hours before the band took the stage.
