Hello 4AD Mailing List, hope you had a great weekend. Out in the shops this week is the fantastic 'Lisa Gerrard' album, which showcases some of her greatest work.

Info! Over a career spanning more than two decades, Lisa Gerrard has established herself as a unique figure whose work has covered a multitude of musical endeavours. She now releases a record which offers the perfect introduction to this wealth of riches : nine albums with Dead Can Dance, three beautiful solo works, a series of collaborative masterpieces and a string of award-winning motion picture soundtracks.

Simply titled "Lisa Gerrard", the album was selected and sequenced by Lisa herself. And so it's a genuine "best of" which offers a concise and entirely convincing insight into the various strands of her musical output. In short, "Lisa Gerrard" blends soundtrack work, Dead Can Dance highlights and the pick of her solo recordings into a seamless and spellbinding whole.
