bands reforming !!.who would love to see sundays reform..me for starters they actually came top in john peel festive 50 once you know !!

Yeah this song was the one. It was good. But they were lazy arses and did f'all for years after. Can't see the point of them reforming, except to hear this song again, or just to make a small amount of cash off the back of it.

I saw them in at the Cambridge Junction years ago,they were a superb live band.It's a shame the last two L.Ps dont match the splendour of their first effort.

They did a good cover of the Stones' "Wild Horses".

Yes, they were great: caught 'em on all of their tours. Harriet and Dave went off to have babies and never got back around to making records. There was a "Best of..." rumoured but don't think it'll happen now: they made a fortune in the States where they were huge on the "college circuit" (I saw 'em in a vast 8000-capacity arena in Califonia in 1997).

Harriet Wheeler is up there with Hope Sandoval in the you-most-certainly-would indie babe stakes.*

(* - current no.1 is the brunette from The Pipettes. Oh yes.)

Always found them a bit twee, I must admit. Preferred the US equivalent, Madder Rose, at least some of their stuff had a bit of backbone.

I liked both the Sundays and Madder Rose (got 3 of their albums).

both totally different imo. some scorching guitar riffs with Madder Rose. same can't be said about the Sundays.

Sundays have done a couple of decent tracks,but agree some of their stuff is a bit twee for me. Recommend us a couple a Madder Rose choons then Kirshie...Might have a sniff on Limewire

Mary Lorson from Madder Rose made a couple of decent solo albums as well.....

Panic On's a great album, must dig it out as I haven't played it for a while.

Always loved the Sundays since I was a kid! I can remember singing along in the car to 'Here's Where the Story Ends', and fell in love with 'Wild Horses' [one of my all-time favorite covers].

Really, it would be splendid to see them reform. That would be a huge treat indeed.

Interesting as I thought the first album, save the single, was utter crap, while the two later albums were tops.

But never seen a clear picture of Harriet, so can't judge if she is hot........but her voice alone does wonders.

if like moi you collect their stuff, some kind soul has put a couple of propa early gigs up on dime. One from support gig of Kristen Hershs band.

Used to av the Union Chapel gig on dvd (i'll av' a look)

that'd be the throwing muses (as opposed to 50 foot wave) - first saw the sundays on that tour, the muses had a couple of lamps on stage with them in those days - made it look like a lounge
