Vinyl Stylus help required

My Stylus thign has worn out on my record player, so i've been looking on the internet for a replacement and its got me confussed.

i'm abit thick about this kind of thing, do i need a specific one for my player or will any do??

If you are unsure, take it to a specialist HIFI dealer. Lemme see if I remember correctly. You need a needle that will fit your cartridge. Look for the make and model of that.

well the needle is just the little thing at the front of your cartridge. They are easily removable by just pulling them off.

Stanton make good quality cartridges and needles. About £60 for a top end one though.

What's the make and model?

it's a Bush MTT-1, i was looking around last night and i found a stylus on a database thing, but i couldn't find a shop that stocked it.

try filing down a paper clip with a rasp. then glue it to a lego brick with a thin strip of cellatape.

sorry about that. I just checked on both of my turntables and yes it does easily come from the front of the cartridge.

You might have already seen this, but according to http://www.ciao.co.uk/Bush\_MTT1\_\_Review\_5325579, the replacement stylus is a Samsung model PL8400H (£15 inc p&p from: www.musonic.co.uk).

Hope you manage to get hold of one.
