Your Gaff haunted then Minx? If I were to believe the pain in the arse, which I rarely do bless her, ours is well and truely.

Though there was once undeniably, three very loud knocks at the end of our bed on the footboard.:eek3: Cacked it for a bit.Mrs B went overboard and called in a priest.Three turned up and agreed the house was riddled, but tried to get us to attend mass..It took ages to get shot of them.

We just live side by side with the ghosts now, after finding out our house used to be a granary/morgue for the Iron Workers of Eston Hills.Good honest folks of yesteryear at worst,so all's well.

Well so far it's just the kettle.

Figured it was a poltiGUEST...

So made a nice cup of coffee for myself so as not to offend it:nod:

If it stays friendly I'll not bother with the :rip:

We got this kettle from Asda with blue LED's in it. Very cool.

But, when you walk into the kitchen in the wee small hours and it's quiet....this thing is sitting burbling to itself, making a noise that sounds like, but not exactly like, an intermittent electrical connection. Switch it on for a second, and the sound is gone, for quite a long time.

Mad one.

What kind of kettle Minxie? one with a big "real" rocker switch, or an in/out press switch, or is it some ultra-chic "water boiling solution" with logic control? If it's a big red rocker switch with big brass contacts....run like FUCK, you've got polterthingies.

If it's an in/out, your kettle is fucked, buy a new one. If it's a microchip controlled "softswitch", just knock 7 shades of shite out of it till it learns the error of it's ways.

See it is one with a rocker switch... I have been 'reassured' (pah) by logical friends that it's prob to do with the thermostat, 'if it can turn itself off it can turn itself on'..... I don't buy that cos how can it depress the switch? it can't can it? it's a one way action of the thermostat turning off.

Minx, I always switch my kettle on by accident when I'm going in the breadbin, washing up, opening cupboards and ting! Does yours have a flippy on/off switch? I can do mine from another house. It's really that sensitive. I wish ghosts were interested in me.
