It ttok me five whole minutes in the alehouse last night, to convince the barmaid that the new note wasn't snide.

she said it looked too fresh.

I should fuckin hope so seeing as it only came out the other day.

The founder of modern economics. Wrote The Welth of Nations around the time of the Industrial Revolution.

The kind of person Old Labour would of hated but Tony and Gordon love.

But really, Ally hit the nail on the head...

Our next manager? :skeptic:

He went to my High School, ya know!

Didn't know we had a new twenty. I see that five pound coin is trying to make a comeback again? Remember my local publican having a big bag of them over five years ago - never ever seen one in proper circulation though. Too bloody big!

I just checked it out. I'm not too keen on it. It looks like Monopoly money after a rainstorm.

King John-maybe she wouldn't have been suspicious if the ink wasn't coming off on her hands? Seriously, though, we've had trouble with dollar coins here (especially the Susan B Anthony dollar) being mistaken for a quarter dollar. Got to th point where some people refused to accept them.

Heard he's homesick and quiting his club, Odense. Best manager we ever had.Right man, right place, right time. In our hearts as the main player in our biggest ever crisis. What he did was unbelieveable, with basically a left over youth team, senior players sold, and a club completely on it's arse. We owe him everything, really.

Heard he is mellow as a manager now,he was nails here.Players played for him though. If I was a Luton fan,I'd take him.Specially if he went to my school.....

(Unless it was a special school  )

Very special!

Think his wife's at death's door basically, which is what's behind his decision to quit Odense. Presume he's not gonna be managing anyone in the immediate future.

Drew £50 out of the minibank at the local co-op at 6am tues, got £13 quids worth of gear from the shop n tried payin wi a £20,bird behind counter then tells me she cannae accept it cos she's never seen one and dint know they were introducing a new note, despite my protestation that i'd just drawn the money from their bank!,dozy cow.

Had to draw another £30 out to get another £10 to pay for me goods,by this time there wa a right queue inside shop, serves em fookin right for her manager not informing her that the notes had changed.

Its not hard to work out why the government have put these notes out with little publicity.

Our currency is one of the most counterfeited in the world as opposed to notes in Australia which have a high plastic content in them,i believe that they are starting to do euros with this plastic content in em soon. (i watch far too much telly)

And incidently, mi mates brother in law just got a 7 stretch for "making his own" just before christmas!

Mind you he had circulated about 1.5m quids worth!
