And Korea scored with a header!!!
What, exactly, was the point of making 7 changes at half time? Only one more game until the competition proper, and Sven still hasn't tried out Bridge and Ashley Cole together on the left.

By all accounts Korea dominated the second half, and we were hanging on a bit at the death. Still, it wasn't a 4-1 defeat :) and Sven the Lucky's at least had another chance to realise that Wes Brown isn't an International Footballer.
Class!!! Reality strikes at last! The only thing that pisses me off is that when you do inevitably crash out in the first round you'll just blame it on the injury problems.
Yeah Korea pumped us 4-1 but our tabloids aren't telling us that we're anything more than a below average side.

Having watched the game in the pub, Korea did not 'dominate' the 2nd half. We were the better side in the first half, both sides were poor in the second. There was no way we were gonna lose this one, even though we looked disjointed with all the substitutions.
Doesn't bode well for the World Cup mind, pub wise. Every boozer was MOBBED round my way, all this just for a friendly.
Even better: France 1 - Belgium 2 last saturday. I wouldn't have bet on this, but I'm glad we screwed them up :D

Shows how much the bloke in our office knows about it then ! Came back from the pub telling us how we had "hung on" and all this gubbins......
South Korea held a draw to England. In fact, I expected England would frustrate South Korea by 4:2. My friend (a NOO member) forecasted England's win of 3:0. The result is good, I think. England is very big team. The most impressive player is Hargreaves. Michael Owen is outstanding as expected.
Korea captain M.B. Hong, as a defence, fulfilled his responsibility very well. There are young players who have potentiality. C.S. Lee (with dyed blond hair) ,J.H. Ahn (Perugia,Italy), D.R. Cha (son of famous Korean soccer player in German league B.G. Cha aka Cha Boom) If you have to see Korea team again, recognize these names. :)
Looking forward to watching the highlights tonight
Please remember....the average age of the Scottish Squad when we were gubbed was 14;)
Bring on the Hong Kong 11, eh Shug! (maybe Scotland are hoping it's the Hong Kong under-11's instead).

Have to agree that Hargreaves played very well. I have a feeling this may be "his" World Cup.
terry Butcher made a good quote about the son of the famous father..."Cha is not exactly my cup of tea" (although you may not get that if you're not British!)

Hong Kong will beat us an all
Vogts is just testing out all the youngsters he had available to him - losing his first 5 games won't affect the future - things will turn around soon mate
He's also got Shaun Maloney & Jamie Smith at Celtic who haven't been tested yet;)
Right I'm aff to watch the highlights......expect a brief summary when it's finished, and I promise to be unbiased![]()
South Korea
Fookin great performance from the Koreans - undefeated in their last 6, including games against the mighty Escosse, Nigeria, Holland and la anglettere!!
England's best player was Mr Hargreaves (by a country mile) which surprised me - I always thought he was shite
Owen & Vassell looked ok - Heskey never done much did he?
What about Wesley Snipes (sorry, Brown
) he looked a wee bit shakin stevens! (BTW where is the huntsmeister?)
It was only a kick about to get used to the conditions. I thought we played well in the first half and considering that was just about our starting 11, I thought it was quite encouraging. Hargreaves must play instead of 'Mr Average' Nicky Butt.
