2 weeks ago it was almost hitting summer temps and today they're calling for chances of snow and below freezing temps. 
Here in NY we are having typical April weather....one day cold, one day warm...It's not the first time the Yankees played opening day in the snow...as for all that global warming crap, I think deep down no one wants it more than Algore just so he can feel right about something for once in his life (IMO). Without it the only thing he would have going is hustling waterless toilets to third world countries..
Realize that just because the calendar says it's fall we still get summertime temperatures into October...same thing with winter into spring.
Hang in there, spring is on the way!!!

The big UN report that's been in the news constantly over the last few days.
No, I haven't read the whole UN report, only articles written about it. During this recent cold spell I have seen zilch about Global Warming in the Press.
From my understanding, when the full UN report is out in May, contradictions about the whole Climate Change will come to light, which is why 2 months ago they went public saying Global Warming is manmade. In essence, this grabbed all the headlines then so when the FULL report is released the focus won't be on the contradictions and uncertainties contained within. We will see....
ANYWAYS Pope, and everyone else, I hope you all have a happy spring....totally void of U2 and the Cure...
This artic air greatly annoys me that came through. They said it would be felt all the way down to Cuba, which isn't actually that far from here. My sinuses and immune system are all being effected by the drastic weather change. I can't wait for my warm weather comes back.

Probably because the media are as thick and ignorant as yourself. Consequently it only twigs when it's warm. Would the current weather you are experiencing be odd twenty years ago? Probably not, it probably just seems cold because you've had a mild winter.
Simple fact of global warming is that there is and will continue to be a general increase in world temperatures but also more dramatic day to day events. Cold snaps, warm periods, an increase in freak occurrences such as hurricanes, typhoons etc.

Question, just for fun, PLEASE don't take this too seriously. If the weatherman can't predict next Friday's weather, how do we know 100% what the weather will be like 50, 100 years from now??

I know what you are saying. Last weekend it was in the 80's here, this weekend the highs have been in the mid 40's and the lows in the high 20's.

I've been down here 21 years and this has been the hottest year I can remember and the worst drought too. The last decent rain we had was in November ffs! Next door in Mozambique, 4 cyclones have trundled through there this summer...it ain't right! Maybe a couple of hurricanes will swing up your way this season and make you reconsider.
It is a shame that the deepest most people will look into global warming is to assume that we'll all end up needing Factor 20 every day, missing the most important aspect of the phenomena.
Most of us will be underwater, so in order to be effective, all sunblock will need to be water-resistant.

Probably because the weatherman gets a job for being able to comb their hair properly, wear a suit, and point at things on a green screen, but climate scientists actually have doctorates in hefty things like advanced science.

Global warming was invented by governments wanting to justify massive spending on nuclear power when they needed the material for nuclear bombs.
As a bonus, the Thatcher government got to use it as part of the justification to put the dick up the coal industry.

At the risk of repeating the same thread we had on this last time, the Mars warming is due to increased solar activity. The Earth will also be affected by the same increased solar activity.
The global warming we're experiencing is due to human activity above and beyond the "background noise" of natural factors, and has been trending rapidly upward since the industrial revolution began.
We should prolly just link to the last thread on global warming and be done with it.

Over the Easter weekend, the temperatures plummeted to the 30s, after two and a half weeks of warm weather. Today, it was in the 50s. Weird.
