Congratulations! My little sister had a little boy - Joshua Reuben yesterday morning (I don't know where Reuben came from but the father has always been tight - oops). Weird thing was I was dressed up in 80's gear going to a fancy dress, the last time i wore this outfit my other sister went into labour the same night.

(As an aside, when we turned up it was actually a 70's do, everybody wearing afro's and flares - oops again!)

Quite like when my sister had her two kids...she gave birth to a girl...and then a few minutes later, she delivered a boy...

my brother-in-law was out of town at the time, so it was left to me to give them their names...

He rings us up and asks what I named the girl, to which I responded Denise...he exhales quite a breath of relief, as he knows me to be quite the smart ass...

then he asks what I named the boy...and I replied, Da Nephew...

he hasn't spoken to me since...

Brilliant job being an Uncle, all the benefit's of parenthood with none of the drawbacks. A midwife was asked what was the worst name she'd heard a child being called and she said "Annette", nowt wrong with that you think, but the poor wean's last name is Curtain!
