Zima alcohol, Parachute pants, Sneakers that weren't extremely fancy or aren't trying to look retro. A payphone that costs 25 cents. Aquanet. Good rock music that is not trying it's darndest to sound retro (why is emulation in these days, and I don't mean Emulator II's), malt liquor not sold in 40's, a rap record that was fun, real floppy discs (although even now, my mother still this that the only way you can save information from your computer is on one of those 4.5in. floppy discs.)

I tried them once a last year from a work vending machine..now I can't find any

Another thing you don't see: kids playing outside that are not causing trouble and are not watched by their parents. Back when I was a kid in the '80s and early '90s, everyone played outside. And even if you owned a Nintendo, you still played outside sometime or went outside to walk to the arcade or to the pizza place that had about 3 arcade games in it. You don't even see arcades anymore or arcade games at a pizza place, corner store, supermarket, etc... But, yesterday, as I walked to get food, I saw kids outside playing, but they were all watched by their parents. And, thinking back to when I lived in Philadelphia, you'd see a lot of kids outside that aren't being watched by their parents (mostly because their parents aren't home or don't give a damn) and they're outside causing trouble and vandalizing stuff.

Too bad for you. There is a beer store in Rochester called Beers of the World which keeps a nice stock of it.

It pisses me off getting stuck behind a school bus. They stop every 50 feet to let the fat little kids out right on their doorstep! And they wonder why kids are getting fatter and fatter!?

I think everything on your list is something I used to indulge in, but haven't thought of for years. Except parachute pants. Never had those! How much is a pay phone these days, anyway? I'd not noticed.

I think everything on your list is something I used to indulge in, but haven't thought of for years. Except parachute pants. Never had those! How much is a pay phone these days, anyway? I'd not noticed.
I had to use a payphone recently because my cell was stolen at school. And, right now, it was 50 cents. It used to be just 25 cents back when I was in high school. But, then when I was in high school, you could get two Tasty Kake pies for a dollar, and now an individual Tasty Kake pie costs a buck. Has inflation really gone up that much since 1999?

Still see 25 cent payphones, they are the ones with the big sign above them in not so nice neighborhoods that say "International Phone Calls 25CENTS a Minute" meanwhile the local calls still cost 35!
The payphones in SEPA (non dodgy ones) say 50 cents for local calls but then when you use it it says "you've got 15 cents credit towards overtime". Verizon are cunts. I've not seen that too many other places (I used a payphone in boston recently and in new york and they both said 30 cents)!
