Forgive my dental ignorance, but can anyone shed any light on what exactly they have done here? Would they have capped the existing black stumps, or just pulled the lot out and the new ones are falsies?
Surely if you capped those babies, you wouldnt stop the originals from continuing to decay and thats got to present a blood poisoning risk at some stage?
If there's nothing worthwhile to cap or bridge, they remove the lot, including the root and start again with new roots made from metal. I guess they are drilled and glued/screwed into the skull somehow. Someone I know had one tooth replaced in this way and I never managed to sit through a full explaination.
Looking at those two picures, I feel sure that Ryder's work will have been both expensive and bloody painful.

Nahh, im sure he managed to source some effective painkillers ![]()
Has anyone actually been to see this lot live yet? They're touring already, aren't they?
Just wonderin' what sort of stuff they're playing?!

UK tour starts 22nd May in Inverness, not sure if they are playing anywhere else before....
His whole appearance has improved lately, hasn't it? He's got a cracking film star smile now ![]()
Still a bit too much of a close up shot for my liking though ![]()
Given the amount of drugs / booze / fags / hardliving Shaun has had I would say its a miracle hes still alive!!!

The gf saw them the other night at Coachella. Said they were fantastic and Rowetta stole the show the whole time. She wasn't able to stay for the full set, but apparently they played a few new songs. And Bez apparently wasn't there because he couldn't get a work permit, so they had someone else do a Bez imitation the whole time. Shaun was nervously standing near the back of the stage the whole time because he was nervous about playing sober.
