Something he regrets saying now apparently. Tears For Fears were too as I think, but then again, they were shite!

Good call on the TFF front.

Although I'm sure Numan only votes Tory to keep his (little amounts of)cash safe!

I knew I wouldn't make everyone happy, as punk isn't easily catagorized, as most bands bleed into one or more catagories. However.....

Not sure what you consider "real" ska, but they are considered ska.

Social D. , and misfits are rockabilly?

Although I knew I'd get shit for putting them there, its for good reason. Mike Ness did 2 cds solo rockabilly, after hearing this you'll hear the rockabilly in social D. Also for the Misfits, listen to Project 1950 and you'll hear rockabilly in the rest of their albums.

Maybe, but hardcore is so diverse, and the early cali movement was big that I thought I'd break them into it.

Where is Oi!-category. That's what i like. Cockney Rejects, 4-Skins, Business, Angelic Upstarts etc. My alltime favourite top 3 would be Ramones Cockney Rejects Misfits.

Sorry Edel, can't bring myself to vote for just one  love 'em all for a variety of reasons, though I've never been a fan of the Misfits, always thought Glenn Danzig took himself waaaaay to seriously, always preferred the Tesco Vee/Meatmen approach to things myself, or even the Minutemen, Replacments and Meat Puppets.

'n hey.....Corvallis wasn't such a total drag in the entertainment area....KBVR and the show Radio Harcorvallis did a wonderful service playing all of that stuff when it mattered (three best shows from my memory: the Kennedy's at the Benton County Fairgrounds, Scratch Acid at the Oddfellows Hall, and X played at Wes's (it's now a coffee shop on Third Street) Good times. :thumb:

What is punk anyway. Isn't it just an attitude. I like some of the bands from all grouping here.
