You get used to it after a while! But I guess that's just football, you have to take the Highs with the Lows.
Newell did indeed get the chop. And, in truth, rightly so in the end. At least the likes of Saaarfend and Leeds always knew they were in a relegation dogfight. He kept making all the wrong noises as we plummeted and he refused to accept our predicament. Which never got any better. First thing Blackwell did was drop the only two players who were both assured a place in Newell's team and who were both, basically, the reason we were in that position in the first place.
Er, still didn't make any difference mind!
As they say, there's always next season!!
