Though it is Memorial Day in the US, I think the rememberance can extend to any other country as well.

“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”

Don't you have to go and watch some car race now.

I did ask about observing it on the actual day at work yesterday. I thought my boss being an American would be sympathetic, but he just mumbled something about foreign holidays, even though we are both still citizens of the USA as well.

Anyhow I don't ask you to observe ANZAC Day. Enjoy the day. Have a BBQ. Watch the race and have your moment of silence.

I'll try and have a moment sometime this morning at work.

That reminds me. I must bring a cushion to work.

(Hum I wonder if this edit won't show as and edit either.)

ooohh, i'll start!

  1. they all talk with those cute little accents
  2. they all like some strange thing called "footy" (probably something sexual--skip it)
  3. they just LOVE Americans (you know, like you'd love an inbred cousin you have to talk to at family reunions)
  4. everything costs about twice as much there! yay!
  5. it NEVER rains.
  6. they have a queen and tea and crumpets and lacy things and spankings? how cool is that?
  7. all of their comedy is HILARIOUS.
  8. they're such a small island that every little regional/geographical area is treated like its own separate country (see #2).
  9. if you're not born into money or good breeding, the caste system won't help you out (see Rocket Mick)
  10. Robert Smith still lives there but Morrissey doesn't!

Good work, Churchy.

See, American people: if you want to rip the shit out of your British cousins this is the way to do it!

 Brilliant, Churchy...

...but what about the top 5 symptoms indicating an American may have contracted anglophilia?

  1. They suddenly want to move to the Arndale centre.
  2. They start typing "fook" instead of "fuck".
  3. They wet themselves at the prospect of visiting a Macclesfield cemetery.
  4. They start trying to spell words properly (I.e. Favour, Favourite).
  5. They are ChrissMari.

This is a real problem, people :nono:
