Excuse the ignorance here,

Has Glastonbury always had a line up on a Thursday :confused2:

T in the Park was always Sat/Sun, but there's acts on the Friday this year.

They're all growing!

Coming from the person who said we all had different tastes and should respect that, slightly hypocritical, non?

I actually think its an alright line up. Just alright though. Nothing I've not seen loads of times before. A lot of the good stuff is on the smaller stages, the late and live stuff looks quite good.

And Jack, its quite simple why the Manics are below Kaiser Chiefs. Kasier Chiefs are a lot bigger. Thats why they're doing an arena tour later in the year, while The Manics cant sell out Preston Guild Hall.

Has the long-running Liam-Jack feud still not run out of steam yet?

Line-up is ok, nothing spectacular. Does it matter that much anyway. Arriving on the Wednesday morning, should be fun.

Same here. Not too bothered that the line up doesnt seem to have the wow factor, i am 'planning' on seing the acts that i probably wont get the chance to see again, the oo and iggy, and then take it from there. Can't wait now.

"NME Electro" band The Whip are doing 3 sets, I'd recommend them to anyone. Also, Laymar are really good, they're on one of the smaller stages. The Courteeners as well, i've seen them a few times and they've had everyone going mental. Also, Peter and the Wolft, who are on really early on one of the smaller stages.

Why, Kershie, as a proud scouser surely you mean:

Sneaking round people's tents at night looking to nick all their stuff while they're away having a good time? Digging holes under the fence to let people in for £20 a pop? Pulling knives on people who try and jump over the fence and not go through your improvised "alternative" entrance?Fuck all that.Got boring after '95.

Although saying that Grant, they are doing TWO free gigs in Manchester this summer (D:Percussion and something else) so if you miss the Lowry Centre its not the end of the world. I'm in Spain that weekend anyway...

Well its not really laughable when you think they sold 100000 tickets in an hour for the Cricket ground now, is it?

liam, i don't care what you have to say when you try and defend shit bands :thumb:

Now I'm not they're biggest fan, but they've sold a shitload of records and a shitload of tickets. They've all become multi millionaires by writing they're own songs and performing live, so i think for that they deserve a modicum of respect.

Pretty dull lineup, bar The Stooges, Manics and Rufus Wainwright.

Be interesting to see how The Stooges fare at Glasto. They were well received at Download a while back. I wonder if the Manics will have private toilets backstage again.

And its nice to see Liam's still trying to persuade people that The Whip are worth a listen. He failed with Kula Shaker.

so funny you posted it twice on the same thread?

shirley bassety is the one that's weird, a lot of people like the monkeys, can't say i'm a big fan, but you can't deny they are rather popular

Think i'll go and see as much as I can of the Arctic Monkeys on the Friday, top band. Will see Bjork and Spiritualized and Electric Picnic in Aug/Sept.

never seen bjork solo, but saw the sugarcubes twice, she certainly has something about her - well worth watching in my book.
