It could've been better:

  • I have to find another job because the weirdness at my workplace continues to grow. My boss is getting sued for $125,000, a client comes in and sits around for 2 hours twice waiting for my boss (who can't be reached), and I had 13 hours taken off my last paycheck. But, in CT, employers don't like to hire you if you're poor with no drivers license.

  • I was stood up for a date.

  • I was woken up by Jehovas Witnesses this morning.

  • And, I've been a substitute teacher.

Like I said, it could've been better, but it could've been worse.

Had and assessment day for a promotion at work. Got through that and had the interview on Friday.

I find out on Monday if I have the job..... could be a bad start to next week!

Good to hear your well. Wondered where you had been.

Out of the Corps, unemployed at the moment, finishing college to become a high school teacher, and its finals week, so have a great 15 page term paper due:angry:

That was one of the most stressful weeks of my life. I work as an IT infrastructure specialist. I had to deliver a project on time and present it in a peer review presentation to the experts. I guess I did it well because my bosses told me that was the best peer review presentation they have ever seen.

After a week of appetite loss, sleep disturbance and constipation due to stress, I'm glad I'm feeling better now. :)

nice to see ya out of the hosptial AW....as for moi, it could always be worse.

Been just over a week since I slipped out of the back of a truck at work (with my hand on the roll-up doors strap as I was leaving).....in the following couple of seconds, all I can remember thinking is "don't let your head hit the ground", whereby I kept a tighter grip on the strap, twisted my arm around, and tore some muscles in my right bicep. I now have a lovely bruise on that arm where the damage is done. Thankfully, no surgery seems likely......unlike my cousin, who broke his neck in a car wreck last Saturday, though he WILL walk again, he's gonna have to give up his cowboy ways, as well as being able to turn his head fully. Poor guy.

If she's your "friend with benefits," she probably doesn't think she needs to give you an explanation.

This evening has been fairly shitty -

I've been looking forward to Hooky's DJ set here tonight for weeks. But first I had to work FAR TOO MUCH today - started work before 7am, started driving at 11am, just made it in for my last delivery at 5.50pm, back in the van at 6.15 for the LONG drive home - finally got here at 9.15 - totally wrecked after 380 miles on every type of irish road. Hardly seen any of the family all day. So i turn it around & head into Dublin for the gig (by bus - i HATE busses - , hoping to have a quiet drink & bask in the glory of P.Hook, just as i get there my Wife phones me to say that her mother has just found her - the mother's - brother dead . . . . fuck it . . .)

  • to then find (this is at 11pm) that the gig is INVITE ONLY!!! (fuck it)

poxy bus back home & get online to find that all i would have needed to do was add Corona Beer to my myspace friends to get that invite - how the fuck was i meant to know that! - there's NO MENTION of Corona on Hooky's myspace (I bet he didn't know either) The Wife has gone in to console her mother while i look after the kids

& my tea has gone cold while i've been online

its well after midnight & 2 of the kids are still awake

you know, i'm so poxy tired that i dont even feel much sadness about Peader dying - thats bad

Privet !

I was in better shape this week. I felt enough confident to go out. I visited a couple of friends. My car is also out of the cars' hospital. A twenty years old car, but still the best place to listen to Substance (on tape) as the car was bought the same month than the release of Substance 1987. AIIAIW, I am a bit of a 'nostalgic'. I also spent a couple of days by my parents - I needed to escape from my home. Being sick and stuck gets me on the nerves + we are selling the house at the moment (daily visits, all this stuff). So I enjoyed the listening of good old tunes in my old bedroom. It is designed in a way that the best place to listen to the music and enjoy stereo is to lie on the bed. After a good smoke, always good and relaxing. More than 16Go of music set on random were good trips. It seems confirmed that Peter Hook (and not Peter Cook as miss Jiphy constantly says...) will be DJ on June 29th in my hometown. It will be a nice opportunity to meet some noolers from the South de la France.

Tomorrow, miss Jiphy leaves for a week in Paris. I will be "home alone" with the visitors + plenty of rendez-vous with doctors in many different places in town... lovely week to come ! But the worst is still to come... I will have to spend a whole evening with my parents-in-law on Friday. They will be by me, in my house and without miss Jiphy who is my best weapon against them.

Well I pissed my week off away on train simulator, supreme commander and listening to Arthur C Clarke books.

And I'm about to get pills that stop you sweating and make you alergic to sunlight....in June. LOL

BUT, I aint too bad, and VERY glad to see your SMGness around here again ;)

Hey, the "girl of my dreams" broke up with me awhile back. I was heart broken and an utter mess. Six months later I met my future wife, the real girl of my dreams. Can't tell you how happy I am to have my wife, and glad that I broke up with the only other girl I've been in love with.

Don't worry about it. Its better she left now than later.....but if you think she's a keeper, don't sit on yer arse, go after her!

:shine: I aim to please.

On a more serious note, though, my point was that you can't expect someone to proffer their comings and goings if they're simply a "friend with benefits." If you want explanations, then you probably want more than a "friend with benefits" -- but then with that comes a lot more commitment. :guitar:

Some signs that she's a keeper:

  1. She adores New Order
  2. She makes you laugh
  3. She can drink you and your pals under the table

Good points. Unfortunately the girl I recently met only meets one of them and then only partially. I keep trying to shock her and instead of laughs, I often get long explanations ..... .

Looks like me and L are doomed. :( It has been hard work these past two months, too hard.

I'll keep her as a friend for now. A friend without "benefits". ;) She has become a good friend ,but that's it seems will be all. She is just so freakin complicated. I said at the start that I was going into this with my eyes open and these issues have been there from the start.

Don't get me wrong she is a great person and has become a great friend. It is just that the instant connection wasn't and isn't there.

Now she won't leave me alone..... . I should be flattered.

She’s really not a keeper….and i was with her cause i was alone for a long time, however i spent a nice time with her. I think i just got used to her for partying, drinking having sex and we've been through a lot together.

But now i’m missing her...anyway i'll let her go

or at least shows those in dating....

Once my wife got married and moved to America she

  1. Stopped caring about NO (though she had albums before I met her) and started liking boy bands (NYSNC, Backstreet Boys) yeck!

  2. Well still makes me laugh.

  3. Now after two kids, she's done after 1/2 a beer....but was a pretty good drinker in her formidable years.

I'll add two more:

  1. Is responsible with money.

  2. Is willing to put your interests before hers.
