Got to have a drink here! Fantastic city, the contrast between the history and destruction and the regeneration of much of the city (especially Potsdamer Platz) is really interesting... Some good museums to get a sense of the place - go to The Story Of Berlin - you can go on a tour of nuclear shelter, which is dead weird... The Checkpoint Charlie museum is also worth a visit... There are some good places to eat around the Hackischer Markt and both the TV tower and the Reichstag offer good views of the city...

Glad you started this thread. Got a stag do there in October for one of the Mackem Vikings.
Was gonna be late September but he picked the same weekend as the Berlin Marathon, so nish hotels available and flight prices were through the roof.
