Load of crap so far , jeez

Turned on and so far i've had to endure Bloc Party , Magic Shitesters, The Automatic and apparently the Fratellis are on soon .Think i'll flip over to Corrie

Things can only get better surely???

Are that Japanese theatre /orchestra lot on this year? They were ace a few years back.About 30 of the buggers on stage providing more entertainment than all them indie bands put together

Just been watching this on several stages.Heard from DIGGY who is there aswell earlier.May tune in later though.

See its turned into a mud bath again. Why not just move the festival to a dryer time of year? Caught Arctic Monkeys on TV last night, musically sounded tight but seemed to have no energy?

Why go to Glastonbury where its cold wet and muddy, when you can watch the sets on TV and t'internet, in the comfort of your own home, drinking Kronenbourg Blanc (like i did last night)???

Apparantley Hot Chip did Temptation again last night at Glasto though haven't seen it on telly.

However, everybody should tune in right now to BBC2 as I type - to see the best comedy show on earth - it's THE KILLERS LIVE AT GLAS-TUN-BERRY - HEADLINING!!!!!!!!!

Geezus - talk about hamming things up beyond the call of duty. Just look at them! And the state of the stage props!!

I am laughing my socks off at Brandon Flowers and his hilarious attempts at trying to make like he's Freddie Mercury with all that prancing about and stalking around the stage.

The rest of the band are dressed just as ridiculously as he is - they look like a bunch of gay cavaliers trying to do rock cabaret. Absolutely hysterical!!

I haven't laughed so much at anything on TV for years - this is utter genius!

And the best thing of all is Brandon's foghorn voice is getting lost in the huge space - I swear I was having diffiiculty trying to hear what he was singing.

Who'd have though it - The Killers headlining Glasto? - by 'eck they've come a long way!!

And now they're doing me fave Killers song of all - "Somebody Told Me"..... the best lyrics of ANY song EVER - absolutely classic!!!

He's just invited the whole crowd onto the stage during 'No Fun', and a few hundred got up. Song had to be stopped, some terrified looking security guards, some nicked instruments, and a lot of Iggy hugging. Order has been restored.

The Iggy Pop stage invasion bit during "No Fun" gets my vote as well for Glasto moment of the day.

That was bloody good riotous fun - what a laugh it must have been for them security guys! Classic stuff! You can see how everybody was just having a fucking good time and sod the security!! Iggy was simply goading them on! Nice one!

I never knew you didn't think much of The Killers , By Eck My Neck , Aye, they were a laughing stock last night.I did stay up and watch about 2 songs to see how bad they were but then i hit the hay.Looks like i missed a good Glasto moment with Iggy ,

Is it just me or are Edith Bowman , Zane Lowe, Lauren Laverne having to try really really hard to make out like they are having a great time and the festival this year is "the best ever" etc etc....?

This years highlight so far has to be Paul Weller being interveiwed whilst wearing a pair of wellington boots.How very Mod. Mind you i can't realy blame him.

^^ Doesn't excuse Mr Flowers & Co though for serving up a hugely bombastic cabaret show that had me reaching for my smelling salts because I was on the verge of passing out from so much laughter.

Was what he did when I saw them at Bumbershoot. Very funny indeed, telling a certain security guard to fuck right off and let some guy dance before inviting everyone onstage. Great moment.

Ps...Do yourselves a favour and go out and buy the Mumm-Ra album.Saw them at Glastonbury Friday on tv for the first time,thought they were great and so bought the CD Saturday. GREAT GREAT ALBUM

I reckon he was just a bit over-awed by the enormity of the occasion and just couldn't get his voice to hit full gear. ;)

Tellingly, only two of the band showed up later to chat to the presenters - bet Mr Flowers was hiding away somewhere either sucking on some throat lozenges or having a good long [foghorn] bawl into his silk handkerchiefs in sheer frustration!

Sunday night has turned out to be the best night IMO.Chemical Brothers were amazing , light show like nothing i've seen and a bit of Temptation mixed in before Star Guitar again.The Gossip were ace too

Agree about the Chemicals - absolutely fantastic lightshow there. Sadly, I only caught the one song they featured - Star Guitar - as I don't have digital. Why just the one song BBC2? Bit tight - and only two songs by the Manics as well. Could have done with more footage of the wonderful Go Team though - they and Just Jack were pretty ace. Kaiser Chiefs were very disappointing - they sounded rather flat and out of steam. And bloody Jo Wiley just had to go and spoil it all by choosing to re-show the bloody Killers again.

Oh, so that was who they were! Must have missed there name when they announced them. That fat chick was well scary!

Just got back early this morning. Had to miss the sunday evening , including the oo, cos my mate bust his ankle in the mud on friday night. Its badly broke. We pushed him round to the other stage in a buggy during the day on saturday and took him back to the tent on sat evening whilst two of us went off to see editors, superb i thought, iggy , great fun, and madness(the band) in lost vagueness.

The highlights of the weekend for us were in the glade where we saw ozric tentacles, slovo, !!! and nick warren. Oh and a spanish gentleman who was very generous with his mdma!

Oh and i caught the last half hour of Arctic Monkeys who i thought gave a solid performance, although I was holding onto the floor at the time, and the pixie people helped steady me. I swear its true. I dont know if i would recommend the truffles that are offered on the way past the greenfields but they certainly gave me an interesting experience!

Also Gruff Rhys in a geenfields tent was cool.

The weather was managable but i think the organisers may have to rethink on the number of tickets for next year. Camping wise it was ok, we were in the new area to the side of pennards, but people moving between the main stages during the evening made it a bit dicey with the crushes. Luckily everyone seemed calm so they cleared fairly quickly.

All in all a top 4 days and would recommend anyone to do it at least once. I'll never complain about feeling wet or muddy again.

Dryer time of the year? Eh....its summer you know. If you cant get sunny days in June when can you?

we had a great time.saw editors,arcade fire,ed harcourt,manics,bjork,lea shores, - all good. saw the killers from side on and couldnt hear them much,something was wrong with the sound. had to put up with catching the last 10 minutes of rufus wainwright.worst 10 minutes of my life.he had a white dressing gown/robe on. bumped into pete cockerty.harry enfield at the killers and norman cook on the path to lost vagueness field on saturday night.andy parsons and bill bailey were both good in comedy tent thing. cracking weekend

There's 30+ minutes of the Chems HERE ,The clown visual during Get Yourself High is my favourite bit.Temptation /Star Guitar is at around 24.50

Mate update. Hes in Fairfield General with a broken leg, broken foot, infections in it and they operate tomorrow.

Hope to fuck he's ok.

Its a fuckin great place but his injuries have put a downer on it at the mo.

we were at the queens head as well at that time.waiting for editors.yes you shouldnt have left they were great.was also a band on actually inside queens head at that time called lea shores,bit of 'the verve' in the music,not bad
