So who's got new albums due out any minute (or are already out?). Not sure what I should be looking out for these days, there seems to be so much stuff coming out at once.

Chemicals Editors Interpol New Young Pony Club Orbital live album

Are both the Hartnoll Bros offerings out now too?

Any more?

Paul hartnoll's album is out, I've seen it in Fopp. I can recommend Phil hartnoll's new stuff (band is called LongRange)... I saw them down here in brighton and they were amazing. Their stuff is more chilled than Orbital and they're using a variety of singers rather than relying on one. They had live violins and the drummer from the Propellorheads made a right racket behind all the synth layers. Not sure when the albbum is due out but I know you can download a few songs off the website

You do that, won't you, dear? Since this thread was obviously set aside solely for your own opinion.

where is the SP album taking off from? Is it more like SiameseDream, Mellon Collie, Machina, or something completely different?

Its more in the style of Machina. Quite heavy, and quite generously on Soulseek now!

Is corigan over-mixing his vocals again? He seemed to start doing this ever since Mellon Collie, and it has really put me off. I love Siamese Dream (in which his vocals are behind the music), wish he would revisit that sound.

Got Chems and Editors, awaiting UNKLE which is a bit of a geetar-driven departure.

Underworld too. Although it's still around, hmmmm, a hundred days off.

He's playing the 3rd worst venue in Manchester? Why could he not play somewhere more interesting?

Yeah, Bridgewater Hall is a bit of a concert hall, but I guess that his album (with lots of orchestra on it) may suit it?

Dance it isn't! :smoking:

My favourite 'New' album, only recently released is 'Lovers Electric' by 'Lovers Electric' - currently touring with OMD.

Really good tracks on that one :thumb:

The Clientele, The Steinbecks and Trembling Blue Stars have all released good new stuff recently... Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but if anyone likes jangly indiepop nonsense... :thumb:
