Steve how do I configure a BT Home Hub ( wireless internet ) port settings for e-mule. In idiot guide if possible.

Or can anyone else help?

There will be a web page through which you configure it most likely. Should be in the setup guide if they bothered to send you one.

They're all a but different but you are probably looking for a page called "port forwarding" or "port rules" or some variation on that. Then it's a simple matter of rattling in the port number emule is using (change it in emule too, something like 55000, a nice high one, cos some ISP block the default ports for it), and setting it to "allow", or possible "allow nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn" where nnn etc is the ip address of your actualy PC. Bit like a sorting office, each port can be considered a type of letter, you set which letters go in which boxes (PC') and which get "not known at this address", ie, blocked.

If yours is anything like my dear lady's it's an excellent Linux firewall with many options it's running.

(yeah who needs linux right? :lol: ...yer ALL using it!)
