I fear Tom will play him ala Top Gun or A Few Good Men. Tom is just wrong. It needs to be somebody who can actually display some real emotion.
The movie will be about his wife and child and how it feels bad to be left at home while daddy/hubby is away securing the future of the master race.

i quite liked that film.
You have to admit that both actors look alike with the Nazi outfit, though. Still, a German actor should play the role, not cruise.

No it doesn't have to be a German. It just has to be somebody who can act. Someone who can display a bit of emotion confusion and doubt.
Stauffenberg was the loyal German soldier who eventually woke up.
Lots of pre-war Wermacht guys had the same attitude, loyal to Germany but not to that monobollocked Bavarian dog molester.
Anyway, it'll not be ABOUT that, it'll be about his poor wife and crying kids, and I will eventually have to kill Cruise for the good of the species.
