PS3 or XBox 360?

New games will not be made next year for My PS2.

So which do I get to replace it??

That boxing game for the 360 is worth £40 of my money any day.

Xbox 360 for one reason and one reason only. Halo 3. Everything else is just fluff.

It totally depends on what kind of games you play. Personally, I like the Playstation.

To be honest i think that PS3 & the 360 are aimed at adults now rather than children. Something which Nintendo have obviously picked up on with the Wii, its very entertaining but definitely based on kids entertainment.

I've got a 360, playing Tiger Woods or Fifa is certainly NOT childlike on it. Rainbow Six Vegas is an absolute must for anyone.

Good points. TW and FIFA are very good. I just finished Splinter Cell: Double Agent and was thinking about picking up Rainbow Six Vegas. It looks like a lot of fun.

Spot on, gameplay is what it's about. Have both FIFA 07 & PES6 on the PS2 and while FIFA is probably the best in that series so far, and has a shit load of leagues, all licensed teams & players etc., in terms of gameplay Pro Evo is the king. If they could ever combine the best bits of both games...!

Is that true that no more new games will be made for PS2 next year? Thought there would be at least another couple of years support for it, wasn't it something like that for PS1 when PS2 came out? Still, planning on a PS3 next year anyway, hopefully the price will start approaching something reasonable. Just need to sort out a hi-def TV this year first.

Seem to remember reading somewhere that a survey done in the last year or so found the average age of gamers to be late 20's.

And as someone who's a 'bit' above that average age, it makes me laugh to see all these PS3 v 360 v Wii debates. It's something that has remained constant since computer gaming became popular years ago. I'd love to see modern gamers handle a C64 & Spectrum, then decide how bad their current least favourite is!!!

Sony Playstation 1 & 2 was the "one" (millions of quickly made games), XBox was Microsoft(evil empire trying to take over the world!) and had very few good games, Nintendo GameCube had little support because Nintendo was not cool cause they were just kid stuff (actually the GameCube was pretty darn cool).

Now Sony is being described like a bloated has-been also-ran, XBox is now the "best" for games, and Nintendo Wii is cool and fun because it is kid stuff...

Remember when Sega was the king, with those thousands of horrible looking games with no depth, speed action the only thing it did well. Earthworm Jim was one good looking game thou. But seems like people remember the Nintendo games better now.

Hell, the computer is way better than Playstation or XBox... but games are more profitable on platforms...

my 360 has the red ring of death; since the only good game is oblivion and i beat it it is just sitting there and not gettting repaired (warranty)

My sister's 360 is performing the famous Microsoft Self-Induced Fist Fuck too...good thing the twat running the division has extended the 1 yr warranty to 3 years...although crap hardware will fail eventually...I've had my PS2 since '04, but put a lot of manhours on it, it will not die.

The shitkicker is that she has to wait for the dumb bastards to mail her a box, she has to ship it out (a formidable task, she's very lazy), and she has to wait for them to diagnose/fix/replace or they could give her the Ole Microshite Run-Around. We shall see.

Sony shot themselves in the foot when they made europeans wait six months longer than everyone else for PS3 - including missing the first christmas after it was released. Plus they dont really have any BIG games you cant get on 360 for £10 less.

Pro Evo is all the gaming you'll ever need..but you can get a simple add on thingy, which converts all teams and players into proper names and stuff..My mate has it,I'll find out what it's called and get back to you on this thread...
