Crispin Glover Meltdown On Letterman; 20 years ago

I'm not one to mark many anniversaries, but damn was I surprised to see that it's been that long since Glover (best known as McFly from the Back To The Future movie) sported a wig, striped pants, and some platform shoes that came fairly close to nailing the ever-smug Letterman in the forehead.

I saw this live, we used to watch Late Night all of the time because our jobs all started in the late afternoon back then, the hooting and hollering, fueled in part by some 40 ouncers, that this memorable interview created still makes me laugh.

I prefer this moment.

I saw Glover do that live! Letterman came back out and said he does not get paid enough for that shiite.

I dunno about everybody, but Letterman come across as pretty much an asshole here. He is often a horrible interviewer who has no interest in anything unless he is the center of attention. Conan would try to roll with it and have fun, like with the Crispin interview.

And Letterman has absolutely no interest in his musical acts, it is funny to watch him look so uncomfortable.
