anyone else going to reading or leeds festival this weekend?

i'm off to leeds again tomorrow morning for my second time at the festival.. last year was awesome so hopefully this year will be just as good. granted, there is a lotttt of shite on the line up (my opinion obviously) but there are still a number of things i'm defo gonna watch..

smashing pumpkins nine inch nails red hot chili peppers dinosaur jr bloc party arcade fire interpol kings of leon ash frank turner eagles of death metal

probably some other random stuff too. so yeah anyone else going?

Be there on Sunday for Arcade Fire and Brakes, if i get up early enough.

Overall though its a pretty shocking line up. Doesnt compare with recent years. Even the 2nd stage and new bands tent are unusually devoid of decent stuff.

Jack, if you throw something sharp at Jack Penate I will buy you a pint.

i hate jack penate

so yeah i might

i'll have an excuse to be there cos one of my mates is a complete indie fag and loves him :evil4:

line up isn't amazing, but i'm seeing about 10 bands this year compared to like 2 last year.. so i'm not gonna complain that much

Not inspired enough by the line-up to go this year lads.

I remember seeing 'Dinosaur Jr.' at the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden, London years ago. Small venue and I thought my ears might beleed. Went with my mate Tina from Australia. Hope you both enjoy the bands :thumb:

Was keeping an eye on day tickets for Reading, Sunday, for LCD Soundsystem.

Prices still too silly though. And it'll doubtless piss down.

Our lad won VIP tickets.Dunno how?? I can't be arsed to go with him,and can't commit just now anyway..But the line up looks pish,so not really arsed anyhow..He is buzzing about it though.

Well, the ground is sodden - indeed, some of the car parks have been turned into campsites, due to flooding...

However, forecast for this weekend looks to be about 25 degrees...

Best laugh in ages.

There looks at least a few other Decent bands.

Thanks A. Each Winter as the season was settin' in we'd do Snow Dances. Hard chance to change the course of the weather but still..

(Think Snow.) The trick was the Comedic timing.. of a Pro.

Lines.. Break. Idea of Rain Dance. Pause. 'So take a tent.

just got back this morning

really was the best weekend ever, better than last year

NIN

hands down the best band i saw.. closely followed by dinosaur jr who rocked my face off and then ash who were surprisingly immense in the nme tent.

smashing pumpkins were awesome.. didnt think i'd ever get to see them once never mind twice... chili peppers were good but not as good as at the MEN last july... kings of leon great band... interpol were very good... eagles of death metal were actually quality... frank turner was amazing to sing along to...

great weekend :thumb:
