Schni, Schna, Schnappi..... :D

Heard it (and saw the video) - indeed, very much Underworld. Okay with me.

Alright then (I was starting to worry) - schnapp on, Schnappi! ![]()

Previewed a few tracks the other day and while I did hear some "filler" material, there were a couple of nice tunes as well. Looking forward to the release. ![]()
I've had a promo copy of it for two weeks already. It sounds more like Beaucoup Fish than A Hundred Days Off did, but instead of hard stormers like King Of Snake it's more mellow and melodic like Jumbo. I love it.
The only flaw is a track that sounds far too much like Bruce Lee.

You wont be disappointed
Beautiful Burnout is a great song
Fcuk me, it's a bit laconic this new album, isn't it?
Don't expect a full deck of barnstormers, but one or two would be nice!
And what a load of bollocks the 'Ring Road' lyrics are! Qualidee

Yup. Just played it through, and was hoping for something a bit more kickin.

Gave the album a 2nd listen all the way through this morning, and I think that's the standout track.
Seen a couple of recent setlists and it doesn't look like much of the new material got an airing anyway?
What was it like in Manc?

Was alright actually
They opened with Push Upstairs
Came on at 9 though, what on earth was that about?
I've always wanted to see them so I hyped it abit and it wasnt as good as I expected but still worth the money
I'd go and see them again but they are nothing without Emerson if you ask me
I see them soo... I'm looking forward to. Saw them 2000 on a festival the last time (they just got a duo then).
Dubnobass was the best album , not so much to play now but back in mid 90s it was feckin ace. Some decent stuff on Beaucoup Fish.Saw em at the New Order MEN Arena do Dec 98 but don't recall being that blown away. Have heard some top live versions of Born Slippy though![]()
Only heard the single off the new one

illness my arse.
Another one that's just going to bubble under I think.
They've certainly gone more mature with their sound since Darren Emerson left and I think more and more, that their music is becoming more an art piece to go alongside their regular art works, books and projects. The songs are definitely shorter and the long epics of the past are no more.
You won't find anything of the magnitude of their opus, 'Second Toughest In The Infants' on here, or the also classic, 'Dubnobasswithmyheadman' but I do prefer both their last album and this one to 'Beaucoup Fish' which I thought was poor.
I was actually waiting to be underwhelmed by this but I was quite pleased with a few songs on there. It's definitely not a great album but it is one that will take a few more listens to fully appreciate and I will listen to it again, and that's not a bad sign.
As for 'Ring Road', really madcap lyrics and after a not that promising start to it, is really turning into one of the songs I like most off the album. A more arty Streets, if you will ![]()
Well I don't think they cancelled due to poor ticket sales. They sold out tix for weds, thur and Fri at the Roundhouse, London the week before last. They played the weds and Thur but not the Fri. They left a sold out Friday crowd very dissapointed. Luckily for me I went on the Weds. I was suprised at the number of oldies but really enjoyed it. Crocodile and Beautiful Burnout were the only new tunes I spotted. But they also did an instrumental Techno-y thing near the end that I didn't recognise...Anyone know what that was? According to the Underworld website, Rick Smith is suffering Fatigue. Must be from pushing those faders and staring at his lap top . It's a hard life eh?
