Railroad tie strapped to the front bumper and a .45 on the passenger seat......and since none of this is really legal yet, Mondays simply aren't bearable.:\ohwell:

My Monday StarMix that I play at work. Every Monday, all throughout my 8-hour shift from hell.

"Under Pressure" - Queen and David Bowie. "Compterwelt" - Kraftwerk. "Blue Monday" [Warren Lapham Mix]- New Order. "No Love Lost" - Warsaw. [Not Joy Division. Warsaw.] "Blitzkreig Bop" - The Ramones. "Whip It" - Devo. "White Riot" - The Clash. "Baby Got Back" - Sir Mix-A-Lot. "Scatman" - John Scatman. " Satisfaction" - Devo. "Aero Dynamik" [KlingKlang Radio Mix] - Kraftwerk. "The Perfect Kiss" - New Order. "Song 2" - Blur. "Desperate But Not Serious" - Adam Ant. "Novelty" - Warsaw. [Not Joy Division. Warsaw.] "Transmission" - Joy Division. "Funk Dat" - Sagat.

For me, this Mix makes Mondays tolerable. [Especially when I have to get up at 4 A.M. to be at work by 5 for possibly the whole. F-cking. Day.]

I always need an absolute fucking epic tune to get me into working again on a Monday morning. Something mournful, of the weekend, and singalong.

perhaps something likeLife on Mars - David Bowie

Nothing can make THIS monday better for me.

I guess somebody will open a thread about it soon enough

If only I could WRITE such a piece I would be richer than Gates and more worshipped as a composer than Mozart.

As it is, probably Little Fluffy Clouds by Orb, and would you believe Blue Monday? Both have that "I'm SO glad I lived long enough to hear this one more time" thing about them. With BM it's actually only the end bit that does it for me.

Broken Promise, too, is a fucking good distraction from anything this side of nuclear war.

When I started working, I used to play 3 songs that I recorded in a cassette tape whenever I'm in the shower before getting to work. The are (in order):

  1. Roxette - Dressed For Success

  2. Pet Shop Boys - Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)

  3. Snap - The Power

Fortunately, my cassette tape player broke down.:evil4:

Then, when I get to the steering wheel, I always play my top two driving music:

  1. Rush - Dreamline
  2. The Cult - Born To Be Wild

Indeed*!*

Thanks, and yes, "Under Pressure." I can't help but love the track. The beat is infectious, and thankfully a million times better than that rip-off that Vanilla Ice did. :evil4:

Play this one louder. Nothing wakes me up better than primordial rock sludge.

Err, those'd be the Hoodoo Gurus.

Book Of Rules by the Heptones, reggae classic, always helps me keep things in perspective, especially on a Monday.
