Editors have announced that they will play some more UK dates early next year.

The Birmingham-based band who just triumphed at an intimate show at London's Koko as part of the BBC Electric Proms last week (October 25) will play a full UK tour in the Spring.

Kicking off on February 26 at Glasgow's Academy, the band will also play London's mammoth Alexandra Palace venue on March 5.

Editors are also releasing a new single 'The Racing Rats' next month on November 26. The single is taken from their second album 'An End Has A Start' which was released this June.

'The Racing Rats' will be available on CD and three 7" versions.

Tickets for the February shows go on sale this Friday (November 2) at 9am.

Tom Smith and co. will play:

Glasgow Carling Academy (February 26) Blackpool Empress Ballroom (28) Birmingham NIA (29) Doncaster Dome (March 2) Manchester Apollo (3) London Alexandra Palace (5) Plymouth Pavilions (7)

the funny thing is, I went to Editors at KOKO recently and they were selling some tickets on the door (even tho they supposedly sold out on the elctric proms website in an hour). I enquired with KOKO if they were doing the same for the Chems/Justice the next night and they said no, that one really was sold out. So if Editors struggled to sell out KOKO, are they really gonna fill Ally Pally?

Considering they sold out 3 nights at Brixton i dont think they'll have a problem selling out Ally Pally.

Apparenlty there is a 2nd night being added as well.

Saw them at Brum Academy last month, I was well impressed. Not sure about the Brum NIA as a bit big and not too intimate. Blackpool would be a good venue to see them in I reckon.

Managed to get a ticket for Blackpool. The Apollo was sold out though, standing anyway.
