And still not a household name  Or is he now ? Hard to fathom,really....10 years WORLD super-middle champ, goodlooking as fuck, proper genuinely class fighter..technically and tactically, better than Benn,Collins,Watson or Eubank in their hayday(Nigel Benn's words, not mine.. but true nonetheless) Always shunned the limelight, that's his problem.Never whored for the media..That and the fact that he was shamelessly dodged by both Hopkins, and Roy Jones.. Getting old now though Joe,and up against the latest young lion.Still, Calzaghe K.0. win round 9!Tenner on it:thumb:

All I can say is he was wise not to fight in America, a central ameriacan would have sorted him

Was reading about Hatton the other day.

His trainer said that it's a good thing that he's out on the piss again between fights because it means that he won't stay fit enough to be boxing into his late thirties like the guys that keep in condition all the time.

Make your money and fuck off - that's the only way to win in that game.

I enjoyed the fight in the best way, listening to it on Radio 5 live.

Thought that Kessler had him after about five, but Calzaghe literally boxed very very intelligently. Fair play to him.

Quote of the year

Got Setanta on Friday on that £5 a month for the next 3 months deal. Sat up and watched the fight.

Calzaghe is the bollocks.

Cracking fight, I was hoping for another Lacy demolition, but knew Kessler was far more dangerous. Intriguing fight, but well worth staying up for.

Hopkins will be next up. Cannae wait.

If I was Calzaghe's promoter I'd pay Christopher Biggins to come into the ring as Joe was making his entrance and get him to shout "Calzaghe?" into the mic so that the fans could shout "SO GOODY!"

That's probably one of the reasons why I'm not a boxing promoter.
