Great pace going forward, some useful ball players. Been impressed with them so far - Hiddink has transformed them into a half-decent side that should qualify for the second round.

Sadly, should've killed off the US whilst they had a chance. Don't think they stand a cat in hell's chance against the Portuguese if Figo et al play like they did yesterday..
Well Done KOREA ur have done brilliant to get this far.It is like ROCKET MICK not only going to the JOBCENTRE but actually getting a job!Bloody great... ROCKET ON THE DOLE MICK
I really hope so - it would be great for World Football if they could lift the trophy, as they have played the game the right way with tremendous spirit and enthusiasm. What's more, knocking over Portugal, Italy and Spain along the way also means they ain't a bad side !
Team Korea will have semi-final match against Germany tomorrow. I hope squad show their 'spirit' that brought them victory against Italy and Spain again. The result is not important. Our brave Korean boys, go and take your deserved chance.
I've really thought much about the World Cup until this year. After returning from Europe, seeing first hand, how the rest of the world is crazy about this sport, i kinda got pulled in.
My wife is Korean, so i've been following that team. I think these guys has the heart and passion to pull it off. good luck korea!
Just a thought........
Sep 1st 2001 - Germany severely embarrassed 5-1 by England, then subsequently scrape through the playoffs.
World Cup draw puts England in very difficult group, yet seeded Germany get comparatively straightforward passage on paper. even worse for England is the knowledge that they will have to beat Argentina, possibly France and then Brazil to progress.
Way the draw pans out - every chance of Germany having to defeat either Spain or Italy in Semi.
First game - Saudis don't even turn up and lose 8-0. Thereafter play very well, unlucky not to get point against Cameroon.
Korea become fall-guys. Circumstances (aka ref) conspire to see Korea defeat Italy. Everyone suspects Korean corruption.
Therefore Italy removed from potential threat to Germany.
Germans get benefit of ref decisions against USA to progress to Semis.
Ref defeats Spain for Korea, heaping more suspicion on them and at the same time making it easier for Germany in the semis.
Groundswell of anti-corruption in the media circus makes it virtually impossible for refs to give Korea anything in the semi, which will make it easy for Germany to progress to final.
Presence of Turkey in semis (German mates) means that if Turkey fluke it, they will be no match for Germany in final....... Only Brazil can stand in their way, and as we saw 4 years ago, they can be bought.......
I swear that the whole tournament, from initial Finals draw to now, is rigged by Blatter and his band of crooks to ensure German success. The Koreans have been the fall-guys.
I don't know why you Europeans have suspicion about Korean corruption. Korea republic doesn't have that big power to control FIFA or the refree. Don't you remember Japan is also co-host? If FIFA want to put host on final, they choose Japan. You know, Italy and Spain are soccer power.
I guess Europeans can not tolerate any Asians still remain in the tournament. I'm really sad...
I would not talk about Germany(I saw their match against USA, their handling foul was not called) but about Koreans, the ref was more unfair to Korea on quarter-final against Spain. Dangerous foul on Kim Nam Il(Korean No.5) was not called. It was the red card foul. Spanish players did not stop their play after the ref's whistle. It is also desreved caution. It's sorrow of minor...If it is happen to Japan, no one can't mention any conspiracy theory. I'm really sad.

Hey we don't think Korea has been guilty of corruption at all !! It's the Germans who have been doing that, it's all part of their masterplan. We only have respect for the wonderful way in which Korea have lit up the tournament :)

Sure! I understand what you say. I just talk about rumors not your say.:)
One of the reasons behind Germany being seeded was their performance in the last three World Cups. Only FIFA could use the achievements of a country twelve years ago as a barometer for today's team. Forget the fact that they chucked away a nine point lead in the qualifying group and snuck in via a play-off. They cheated their way to the cup in 1990, so lets just give it to them again shall we?
