Anyone started their Christmas shopping yet?

I don't shop for stuff. The whole "what to get for so-and-so" has totally pissed me off in recent years. I'll go gift shopping for anyone's Birthday. Otherwise, meh.
Usually for Christmas [and lately for Hanukkah] I make the presents. Much more meaningful. And I don't have to spend a whole lot on materials to make simple stuff like picture frames for holiday photos or a box to hold pens or whatnot. [My traditional starting day of making stuff: Thanksgiving afternoon.]
Christmas shopping? Fcuking hell, that's when I shop for Christmas decorations for the damn Drive-Thru!!
And I gotta do that TOMORROW!!
Yep, all done online too, therefore avoiding the miserable buggers who moan about the queues, lack of staff, lack of stock etc.
Or is that just at the shop I work at? ![]()
EDIT: Just remembered - the queues, lack of staff, lack of stock is an all year round thing! ![]()
Shame, Ron - I was just about to remind you that a minty mint copy of the Factory Sampler was top of my list...

I've done some of it and i'm gonna do some power shopping over the next couple of weeks to get the rest, cos i'm working xmas eve this year.
Oh .............please...........
Depressing thoughts;
Local radio station played 'Last Christmas' yesterday.
Shops are already playing awful xmas songs.
Haven't got the inclination to trawl around shops buying things for the sake of it.
Next door have xmas lights on their tree - outside.
When it's 22nd December - I'll worry - till then...........bah!!!!
However......I have bought Myfanwys dog an advent calendar - I don't want to overdo it.

I've got a couple of ideas written down, as well as running around in my head, but I haven't physically gone out and purchased anything yet. That can wait till the last week as far as I'm concerned (not gonna buy any of those ridiculous "must have" toys that kids feel they "must" have).

Working retail-the only sane people on Black Friday are at home!!!
So I wish to avoid shopping in that mess-hell no!!
and the worst was going to a local Hecht's department store like 3 years ago. I saw the xmas decorations and music going full blast on OCTOBER 13TH!!!!

Agreed - utterly pointless... As with most Christmas or Birthday prezzies - rather have the cash... ![]()
