It's a real bastard to do. On one of the pages where you search by school and all that other nonsense, there is a second tiny search box up the top where you can use....NAMES, bloody well hidden, I only managed to add my own (self adopted) sister 2 days ago, and she had to tell me how.
Bear that in mind fellow NOOLers next time you think I'm smarter than yous with computers. 
Even the name search isn't much use when you get 50 results for even a relitivly uncommon name. Having to then trawl through pages of results and hope the person you're looking for has an obvious profile picture.
There is a search via your e-mail address book that works a bit better.
Yep, the search engine returns too many results.
