What voted by Glasgwegians!? 'cause he was aye greeting "It's awe fir ma mammy. She deserves it 'cause she brought me up herself". ("Awe change the record;fir fuck's sake!")

... and so fuckin' wit... away an' listen to the Mary Chain, Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, Primal Scream, and the likes of Alex Harvey, yeah greeting faced wee shit!

Harvey would have been brilliant on the X-Factor:

"Me, I really would have liked a little bit of tenderness Maybe a word, maybe a smile, maybe some happiness, but Next! Next! Oh, it was not so tragic and heaven did not fall But how much at that time I hated being there at all, Next! Next!

I voted for Rhydian. At least he could sing and the others were shit . . .. and yes . . . I am guilty. I love to watch it on a saturday night getting pissed before I go out.

Seems quite amusing then!

Complete travesty that the Scots block vote won the contest this year. Nobody would ever be able to convince me that Leon was the best singer and a worthy winner, he's a second-rate Michael Buble impersonator with an only passable voice. Rhydian should have won it by a country mile, he's been the only contestant this year with the quality of voice to succeed. Wouldn't be surprised if Simon Cowell doesn't scrap it next year, the ratings have dropped and now he's got to give a £1m record contract to a no-hoper.

Oh Chris. You don't know what you've missed.

The hours I've spent yelling drunken abuse at the TV! A travesty every year if you ask me.

Mind you, ask me sober and I wouldn't have a clue!

At least it is more watcheable than American Idol. And the singers are generally better quality, although that's really not hard.

A friend once made me sit through part of American Idol, season 5, so we could watch a performance by Chris Daughtry, but it was an hour of just bad performances and dragged out phony anticipation. I think afterwards, I made her put on a Depeche Mode tape to regain any kind of musical credibility.

Although when I talked to Tristan, he was rather disappointed that Rhydian didn't win.

Only seen it last night for the first time,

Leons more "sellable",if you know what i mean,

That Rhyddians a strange lookin chunt

Don't think thats what Tim said! Think he said Rhydian should have wone it by a country mile. Leon can't sing. At all!

Mind you, I agree - looking at the money the spice girls are making again . . .that doesn't mean being sellable is equal to talented.

It's always the same with these competitions. Every time there's a Scot in something he/she gets everyone up there voting for them, not because they are any good but because they could be stopping an Englishman from winning. Except in this case it was a Welshman who was denied.

If Leon was genuinely the best singer in that competition, the singer with the X factor, then I am Alan Hempsall.

Sorry mate, but if you really believe that, your talking through a hole in your ass!

(The majority of Scots on these programs are an embarrassment to the name, and anyone who votes on shit like this doesn't do so along nationalist lines).

Oi, haggis breath!

Celtic, as used to describe us lot is a construction of some 18th century rich twats in London.

We should all just call ourselves the not-english

Besides, the population of England are, for the most part the mongrel offspring of invaders. All yer act ual Engerlanders live in Wales and the Scots borders, witha few, polluted only by the vikings, are in the north of england. Everytime the country was invaded, the men fought and the bints and wee'uns fled to the above areas. Fact.

Anyway, I was only saying that, while 6 scotsmen could shred 85 engerlanders, they could not out vote them.

That should make me as popular as a glass of warm fetid piss as a cooler on a hot sunny day.

PS, had to post about this, since I know nothing whatsoever of xfactor* having never seen it.

* apart from that somehow Rowetta ended up on it????????

"Celtic", my friend was a word used by the Romans to describe peoples already resident in an area, akin to "Indian" by Victorians, or a rough equivalent of aboriginal.

The definitive book on Celtic art was written by one J Romilly Allen, but the word itself is of ancient origin.

(I "do" a lot of Celtic design and have read widely on the subject, pooteen breath.)

PS I agree with the rest of what your saying/pointing out.

Which is why I said somethin about "as applied to us lot as a tribe". In that, yes, it does just, really mean yokels, not any specific subset thereof, that much is the construction, this Rommiley (or whatever, I've gone and deleted the rest of the quote) geezer may even be one of the constructors, I will consult my sources.

Explain why last year then, the MacDonald brothers votes were 94% from Scots locations. The demographics for Leon will be pretty similar.

Number of votes cast....... very low compared to previous seasons. Demographics of votes cast...... extremely regional.

Never bothered with it ever since the tuneless caterwauling no-hopers were all voted out but I snuck a viewing of the final just to see which of those aforementioned tuneless grunters would resurface for the final ritual of humiliation. That fat flump being carried out on a throne made me almost choke on my beer and chips and gravy. :dead:

However, the winner Leon isn't even so much as a fookin' Michale Booblay wannabe as a tenth rate Ray QUIM more like. What a bunch of tossers they all are. Rhydian is a weird plastic gimp who reminds me of something from Thunderbirds crossed with Max Headroom, and that hyperactive brother and sister duo just gave me the creeps - the way they kept grinning and gesticulating with their thumbs with facial expressions that suggested they must have OD-d on too many Sanatogens (check those manic bug-eyes) really freaked me out. How ANYBODY can maintain such deranged degree of overenthusiasm surely beats me. :uhoh: :evil4:
